Not too far from the station and near the sea. Clean and welcoming. Great for a short stay.
A bit small and the garden is tiny.
Great comfortable rooms Pancakes for breakfast
Seagulls at night...
Good location, good staff, no nonsense. Perfectly functional.
My room was very small, the whole place seems very small and claustrophobic. Breakfast wasn't great, I've had much better in Brighton.
Quiet and lovely and clean It is a guest house and good value. I think some people have focused on the wrong things. 2nd time for us and we would definitely return....
Parking can be awkward....
- Very friendly Host - Breakfast simple but nice - very close to Centre - individual rooms - Parking in front of the hotel (public 8,50 p per Day)
just the surcharge for Credit card payment
Very helpful and welcoming owner. Clean, quirky decor and faultless stay. Will be back when visiting our daughter in Brighton again.
The location is wonderful - close to the beach, the town centre, and the coach station. Friendly staff. Satisfying breakfast.
Nice atmosphere, very clean
Would like an option of cooked breakfast.
Even though we were asked to give an acurrate time of arrival ( not easy when travelling 250 miles) there was no one there when we arrived, the room was in the basement area and so in the morning we were woken with the. Sound of creaking floorboards while the breakfast room above us was being prepared. I could go on but just to say this did not deserve the high rating it was given.
spacious rooms. ran by a friendly and professional guy. nice touches to make the guest feel at home
was very hot - maybe air-con would be nice? unless i didn't see the switch
Everything, great stairs for exercise
This was our first time in Brighton. We chose the Hudson for its location and that we got the suite for a very fair price, the room was bigger than we thought it would be which is a bonus the staff where nice and polite, the breakfast is what it says it is although if you need a big hearty breakfast there are plenty of cafés within 5 minutes of the Hudson, we would defiantly stop here again.
I have to think hard to find a negative so in that case I will not add one but I will comment on previous negatives about the Hudson Waiting for someone to let them in it clearly states please let us know your time of arrival which we did and someone was with us within seconds. The breakfast was not a fry up, again clearly states continental breakfast. Staff and owner where rude, we did not see anything but politeness
Decor and atmosphere were perfect. Fiancee loved it too!
Too hot and noisy, and the curtains didn't block the morning sunlight at all...
Great location and nice friendly staff. We stayed in the basement which was fine.
The hallway smells of damp though and breakfast is basic but generally a all round nice experience.
Pressure to be there by a certain time when travelling on public transport. Continental Breakfast Don't book through hotel booking sites go direct then the VFM is better as the lower price really reflects the offer of this B& B
Hudson's is a relaxed and friendly b and b with quirky Brighton style and is very comfortable and clean. Although fairly central it was relatively quiet at night.
- staff - location - facilities
- shower was compact - small breakfast options
Location was excellent, just two minutes walk from the sea front. Bedroom was the compact one but everything we could have needed was there. Bed was comfy and the sheets blissful. Parking permit was good value and convenient.
Breakfast could have been a bit more substantial. Cereals, yoghurt and/or toast, croissants or pancakes was provided but I don't think that could be described as a Continental breakfast really! It was just a small niggle as everything else was great
Great location, super comfy bed, female staff member was friendly. Price was reasonable considering the location.
Owner/ manager wasn't particularly friendly, everything was very rushed with a 'get it over with' attitude, which didn't feel all that welcoming! Lots of rules posted in around Walls and in rooms, felt a bit like school. Nothing un reasonable, maybe just needs a re-write for a more friendly approachable tone both on paper and in person! Bathroom and bins hadn't been properly cleaned from previous guest but wasn't too terrible.
Over priced and very basic breakfast.
Room and staff were very nice, and the breakfast was a welcome treat. I like the idea of having a dvd collection too.
Empty bottle of wine in the room when we arrived, but really that was it.
Great location. Well equipped/appointed room, though small. Front desk didn't exist.
No wifi in rooms on top floor.
Very expensive, room in cellar, dated. Breakfast too late
Friendly greeting on arrival, made to feel very welcome, good location in Brighton. Fridge in room with supply of drinks (wine etc) to buy if required.
Small bathroom with no towel rail. Noise of traffic on road outside.
location to sea front room size weather. parking permit
