Nothing to fault apart form maybe there being fridge in the room
This was a business trip for an important meeting the following day however, on arriving at 10.00 pm after a very long, tiring journey, I was informed that depite the fact that I showed the Manager my confirmation of booking via booking.com, the Manager said they were fully booked and they had no room available for me. Fortunately I was able to get a room at another hotel fairly nearby, otherwise I would have had to sleep in the car!! So no way would I recommend this Hotel or any aspect of this 'stay'.
location, very clean, comfortable. would stay again.
one small fault second morning with wedding party for breakfast, had to eat breakfast with other peoples dirty dishes on table. felt they should have been cleared.
Accomodation is good and the staff are welcoming
The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food in the restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. The room was comfortable and clean. I travel a lot and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in this area.
Clean Modern Spacious En Suite, Comfortable Bedding, Friendly Staff.
Walls are a bit on the thin side....
Location, style of the property, the room layout, friendly staff, fantastic food.
Good value for the price
Friendly , clean , very relaxing
It was adequate for a one night business stay. Evening meal was very good.
Colleague was unable to watch tv in her room as there didn't appear to be a signal. Service at breakfast was a little slow and I feel this should have been included in the price. Overall cost was on the expensive side
The views the room the food
Having back problems I could have done with a soft mattress also the tv could not keep a good signal
Location, ideal for exploring the northern Lake District and coast. Comfortable room with nice décor.
We booked a suite but were a bit disappointed by the size of the room. We had to pay for breakfast, it is only included if you book direct with the hotel ! The Pavlova we had for dessert one evening was rock-hard but when we reported that to a member of staff nothing was done.
Lovely views from hotel
New modern decor in the general public areas
Room apeared very dated and was cramped with an extra bed in the room. Walls were thin and could hear the normal conversations of other rooms as walked down corridor and inside room. There are no restaurants or bars locally which meant either driving or eating at restaurant which was expensive. It is quite a drive to actually get into the lake district national park and the local towns of Whitehaven and Workington were very run down.
Loved the views, the place looked great, very quiet, only 7 mins abt £7 by taxi to workington. Comfortable room. Got a good deal last minute 2nights £150 over a weekend. Chilli mayo sauce was brill and breakie. Ennerdale lake was 20mins, great place.
Room was a little small, but was worth it for the price. I'm sure they got larger rooms for a higher price. Bed wasn't as comfortable as I would've liked.
Quality surroundings Comfort of bed Cleanliness of room
slow service of staff
1. Very clean 2. Price
1. Not many good restaurants nearby
Room No 1 is very small with no view.
Well maintained hotel in relaxing grounds, staff were excellent, very friendly and warm, extremely accommodating. Room was spacious and had everything we needed, very peaceful nights sleep! Cooked breakfast was perfect.
Not very many options on the continental breakfast, could do with a little more choice.
