I stayed at the Hunday Manor during business as it was very resonably priced and no low priced chain hotels were available in the area and was highly impressed with the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were luxurious and very clean & comfortable, the food and the embience in the resaurant was superb the grounds were fantastic and the surrounding area and view were great. I couldn't speak more highly of the hotel and would recomend this hotel to anybody wanting to stay in the area. The only down-side was that there are no pool/spa facilities. I understand that there are plans to add these in the future. Only as above, no pool/spa facilities, otherwise - nothing!!

Excellent late reception by the night porter (Steve) who showed me to my room and kept the bar open until I had a drink. Absence of local beers Lack of signs to get back from room to lobby

The Hunday by far exceeded our expectations. First impression was how beautiful the surroundings were. Loads of parking. Reception / bar / lounge area spotless with attractive decoration / furnishings. We were met by very friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Booked a twin room for myself and my 18 year old daughter and both were delighted with the decor and size of the room (and free WiFi). Would not hesitate to book again or recommend to friends. Even if I tried I could not find anything to have a grumble about!

I liked Hunday House as I am a female lone traveller and I felt safe there. The location was excellent as its situated just minutes off the A695, and was very easy to find. It was very peaceful and relaxing, the staff were lovely and friendly and it was obvious that many gusest had been there many times before and made them selves at home. I was comfortable sat working in the bar, even though a female travelling alone. My room was really comfortable, and normally i struggle to sleep in hotels but I slept very well there because i felt at ease. I will return on my next visit to that area.

It really is a gem of a place in an otherwise bleak landscape. The bar is excellent, the food is excellent, the bed was excellent, and the location was excellent. The staff really couldn't have done more for you. All very friendly. I even got fantastic 3g reception (and they have free wifi too!). I got faster internet speeds on 3g here than I do from my broadband at home.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was good, particularly the breakfast. The bed was a bit hard, but that is personal taste.

Beautiful surroundings. Public areas are to a high standard Generally a great place to stay. Had an argument with a waiter regarding the way a steak was cooked.. He said I was wrong. Not too impressed by that. But dont let one bad waiter put you off staying here.

Staff friendly and approachable, very helpful re taxis, late bar service etc. Room a but quirky (different levels, three rooms in a double). Setting great, decor fine, all in all a positive expereience, let down by breakfast... as per comments below. V disappointed with breakfast - we waited an age on Saturday to be noticed / served. Sunday's had no fried bread, less bacon, no beans (and when the lack of beans was questioned we were told 'the delivery hadn't arrived' - beans delivery on a Sunday? Really? You order a beans delivery on its own!!?? Insulting our intelligence methinks, just forgot / couldn't be bothered / ran out). Tea was awful, served in tiny cups, mugs aren't that expensive! Could do better!

Warm welcome, comfortable if compact room. It can be difficult getting dinner at a time you want if they have a big group in the function room (E.G. Rotary Club or Round Table type meetings)
