Hunday Manor Country House Hotel  

De ontvangst ondanks onze late aankomst (23h) en de aangeboden hulp ivm onze autoproblemen waren hartverwarmend. Het hotel is prachtig gelegen met een prachtig zicht op zee. Onze kamers straalde grandeur van vroeger uit maar toch met alle comfort. Kortom een aanrader!

Everything - Facilities in room are excellent (you actually get wet in the shower!). It's more like staying with friends.... very well to do friends... than staying in a "hotel". Service/Cleanliness/Restaurant/Facilit- ies/Location/etc... cannot be faulted in any way.

Nothing, but the WiFi was good.

I requested a double bed and didn't get one, despite my email confirmation stating contrary! I was also charged more than the original email quotation, a truly overpriced dump run by weirdos!

Very friendly hotel, excellent service and absolutely spotless. Shower enormous. I would definitely stay there again

Noise from party in function room below bedroom - but it did not go on late fortunately.

The decor and warmth of the room was fantastic

I stayed in room 28 and at night about 9 30pm there was alot of drilling on and off, to be honest I didnt complain at the time because I was too tired and was staying there on business.

Very stylish decor and lovely comfortable bar and restaurant areas. Nice cosy room comfy bed.Service was attentive and nice. Food was good quality

When bar and restaurant were busy there weren't really enough staff on to keep on top of it so I was hanging around quite a long time in the bar on my own.

Room Cold - Heating turned off in "Summer Months". Free wifi in rooms did not work. No hot breakfast available - "chef slept in" - only informed of this after I had given order and sat waiting for 20 mins. To make matters worse then informed tariff did not include breakfast-this was not made clear at point of booking. (Since spoken some collegues who got caught same way & another collegue who has now cancelled future booking because he also believed he was getting b&b) Hotel response was that if there was a problem I should take it up with the agency that deals with booking.com " not their problem"

We had a family funeral at the Hotel and the staff couldn't be more kind and helpful. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was really good. Nice location overlooking the sea and in the heart of the countryside. Gardens were very pleasant to have our sundowner after a long afternoon walk.

The management and staff were fantastic, sympathetic, and went beyond the call of duty to accommodate our requirements.

Although a short distance away from the office it is in a delightful location. Fortunately on this occasion I was in a hire car but the normal mode of transport is via train so not sure if it would be viable. Staff and location really good with the 'train' caveat.

I would have liked to have seen a gym of some description on the premises.

I stayed at the Hunday Manor during business as it was very resonably priced and no low priced chain hotels were available in the area and was highly impressed with the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the rooms were luxurious and very clean & comfortable, the food and the embience in the resaurant was superb the grounds were fantastic and the surrounding area and view were great. I couldn't speak more highly of the hotel and would recomend this hotel to anybody wanting to stay in the area. The only down-side was that there are no pool/spa facilities. I understand that there are plans to add these in the future.

Excellent late reception by the night porter (Steve) who showed me to my room and kept the bar open until I had a drink.

great place to go if in need of a break rooms very clean food was great .cost a lot but i think it was worth it

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The evening dinner was excellent. The hotel is set in wonderful surroundings.

We felt breakfast should be included in the room price, otherwise absolutely perfect.

Rooms and common areas were well designed and very comfortable. Food at both breakfast and dinner was very good. A good hotel.

The room was good and the staff were friendly.

I found it quite annoying that they didn't have many staff so we were waiting around especially trying to check out. We waited 45 minutes to check out and pay the bill because there was 1 member if staff trying to do all the work

Reasonable prices, friendly and attentive service, very comfortable. A pleasant hotel which I would recommend.
