“ The only good comment I can make is that the quality of the food and portion size was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We had stayed overnight for a 50th Birthday party. The hotel let us keep our room until late afternoon on day of check out at no extra cost. ”

The only good comment I can make is that the quality of the food and portion size was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We had stayed overnight for a 50th Birthday party. The hotel let us keep our room until late afternoon on day of check out at no extra cost. Hotel in general very tired and dated. Rotten woodwork around door frames. Outside appearance very shabby. Our room in the annexe was boiling hot even though the radiator was turned off and the thermostat turned right down. Also the heating made a constant rumbling and rattling noise all night! I found it difficult to sleep. The matress was very lumpy. The shower was a complete waste of time. The water barely trickled out even with the tap turned on full. It was also impossible to control the temperature. It was scalding hot with the hot tap on but you only had to turn the cold tap a fraction and the water was freezing!! We ended up running a bath in the end. The decor again is dated. Wallpaper was peeling from the walls and there were damp stains on the carpet. The curtains on the window did not cover the full drop of the window and there was a gap of about an inch at the bottom so anyone walking past could easily see in the room. We had booked a double room and it is debatable if you can call a 3/4 size bed a double!!! For the cost of the room (£75) per night we did not think it represented good value for money. We have stayed in far more superior hotels for a lot less money

The hotel was very nice. Needs a bit of TLC on the outside, but once inside it was lovely. The friendliness of the staff made us feel welcome instantly. Our room was basic but extremely comfortable and most importantly everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food was really good, and the portion sizes where excellent. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Hundred House Hotel and will definately stay there again. I would recommend the hotel to family and friends.

The Breakfast. How quickly they changed our TV. The decor was a throw back in time, dated , tired, the names on the dining room tables, the horrendous pink lamp shades in the bedrooms, wine glasses for orange juice, orange juice at breakfast in a metal jug , grapefruit segments as a choice at breakfast thats the 70's!!!, the bedroom ceiling , bathroom needs new suite . The place needs a complete refurbishment , it is remote and nothing to draw people in apart from the actual building which is let down by whats inside .

Not much - the breakfast was okay. The fact that even though it was clean the hotel hasn't invested in the building in over 20 years which is a shame as it such a beautiful building with loads of history attached to it. Don't expect to have tv reception or wifi in your room either.

The hotel was situated on an A road in a picturesque setting. It was an old building with plenty of character and warmth, the rooms were very spacious with great views. Decor was looking a little dated but did not not detract from the ambience

The staff were very polite and helpful The annexe room I had room 6 , is in desperate need of repair and renovation, The front door greets you with holes In it and full of rot. The outside generally is in need of a good clean . Inside the room, the shower worked well, but the floor tiles are all loose and grout coming out, not good hygiene for a bathroom. The carpet in the bedroom is tired and grubby, there are no blackout blinds so it's daylight at 4.30am in the room. I was very disappointed with the accommodation .

Although the hotel accommodation was adequate it was not value for money, the biggest problem was the room was above the function room and was extremely noisy until the early hours of the morning, would not stay there again Noisy and poor facilities

Staff were friendly and food was excellent. We only had breakfast on this stay as we had to leave early for the airport. However, we did have Sunday lunch here a few weeks previously and this was excellent. The decor could do with a little updating without loosing the charm and character.

Location, near local wedding venue at wedding I was attending. Generous breakfast with nice polite staff. Very dated inside but clean enough. Would not go specifically on holiday here but useful for the purpose of a room for a night when attending nearby events.

The location was perfect for the wedding we attended in Abberley. The cooked breakfast was very good. Oh, the rooms were quite dated and the bed was shocking. The shower didn't have a steady temperature so it went from (literally) scalding to freezing and although there was no pressure to speak of in the water there certainly was when it was scalding. The doors in all the rooms banged throughout the day and evening- surely a doorstop would help!- and the walls were so thin we could hear the gentleman in the room beside us whenever he used the facilities in his room. As well as banging, the doors also squeaked when opened so we knew what time everyone got in at night. The bed coverings and blankets were very dated- it would have been better to just have a sheet and duvet on the bed. It was nice, however, that there were extra pillows in the room. The tv reception was terrible and when we did get some signal we could barely see it on the teeny tvs! We were with a gay couple who had the worst room ever- no wifi signal, no tv signal and were forced into a room out the back that couldn't even be accessed through the main hotel.

Location, proximity to Great Witley where we were attending a party. Friendly and attentive staff. Not expensive. Generally tired interiors. Difficult to see how, at the rates the hotel is able to charge, the interiors can be improved. Our room was perfectly clean but generally rather drab and run down. Tiles were starting to come off the bathroom walls and the bath seal had failed. The bathroom fan didn't appear to work. The shower controls were not balanced so the temperature fluctuated especially when bath or shower taps in another room were turned on. Minor modifications to the room such as different lighting systems had been added without a clear idea of its overall presentation.
