staff, rooms were very nice and clean, area and golf, great hotel - felt like home, quiet area, very nice bar

breakfast not too many options, location - thought its closer to city but its only 5 min drive by taxi so its not that bad

Beautiful sea views, made to feel very welcome. Staff very efficient and friendly. Twin room very spacious and spotlessly clean. Great breakfasts and had a lovely meal in the evening.

The Hotel is very quiet and has excellent scenery looking out over the cliffs and sea. The rooms are comfortable, big and clean. The food is excellent as is the service.

8Am alarm call over 10 mins late. (Important as we were going to a funeral). Public rooms too chilly for us. Re Service: Reception could have let us know asap we had left something important to us at the desk when signing in, (a wallet of foute names identifiable with our name on). We made several requests about it when signing out I told the staff on duty etcreturned later after checking out knowing they must have it, to no avail. Eventually, I phoned them remotely and they found it in Reception. (I think they may have tried to phone me to leave message) and we travelled some way to collect. Even though it was our fault in leaving it. There are 2 lessons here:- advise the guest by phoning room and/or make an effort when the guest enquires. The Reception was not too busy to not have time to attend to this.A Small thing turned into a real aggravation for us, especially as we were off to a funeral.

This was my fourth visit to Hunley Hall. As a female lone traveller the staff always make you feel very welcome and that nothing is too much trouble.

Shower head leaked badly, all in rate was higher than expected and higher than what it would be if evening meal paid for separately?

THe hotel was lovely and warm in all rooms. A plentiful supply of hot water. The views of the sea. beds were comfortable.

we did not eat at the hotel so cannot comment on the food. The golf club is in Brotton , a tiny village, Not Saltburn which is on the coast and much more picturesque

The staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was good. The rooms were spacious and very clean. This was our second visit to the hotel this year and we will probably book another visit soon.

Although when pulling up to the hotel the building doesn't look much, the inside is well done out,very modern an clean, staff were very friendly , helpful, and we were even pretty much shown to our room. We stayed in the more expensive room which was a suite, it again was very modern, clean, and very cumfy and some nice little touches, we even had a lovely view of the golf course an the sea. Parking was also good and saltburn is just a 5 min drive away and has some nice restaurants an cafes and whitby is about 30 mins away. We had a great time ,lovely place.

For the amount we paid it was nice and spacious. The room had an amazing view out to sea over the golf course. All the facilities that we needed were provided and staff were friendly and helpful.

The only real problem was the bed was too small and way way too soft, I did not sleep well.

Nice clean hotel but more for golf or people who enjoy the country side. Nearest Livley pubs are Redcar and Guisbrough.

Exceptional location, very friendly staff, very accommodating of children. Lovely room.

Presumption is that people are coming by car - perhaps give a taxi number on hotel website? Or walking directions along the Cleveland Way?
