We had 'Mill Top' for a two day break. Warm welcome from the start by the owners and their two friendly dogs. The charming accommodation in this old windmill has got to be unique. Good location for exploring coast, town and country. We'll return but will stay at one of the other cottages as the family dog will be in tow and may struggle with Mill top's steps.
Shower was a bit weak but, hey, there's a bath if that bothers you. Beware of Mill Top steps if you struggle with such things, I guess, but all good really.
Excellent facilities for dog owners.
Fairy lights shining through our window at night. My husband is a very light sleeper!
Outside looks lovely
Inside is very old fashioned
The environment and facilities
cottage itself was rather small, but big enough for 2 people, really cute. We could do BBQ in front of our cottage which was bonus. Outside space was lovely. Everything was there what we need, excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed staying there.
WiFi signal was very poor inside of our cottage. We stayed at the bottom of the mill. If you are lucky, you could get rarely poor signal or none, basically it doesn't work inside. You have to go outside of the cottage, back of the mill.
We had a fantastic weekend. Prior to our stay I was immensely impressed by my correspondence with Mike. Once there Thelma was lovely too. The cottages are beautiful and in a fantastic location, clean, organised and welcoming. Thelma (and the dogs) were very polite and tolerant considering we were a hen do of 14 people and I cannot thank her and Mike enough for making Sally's weekend so so special. We will definitely be back when we aren't as rowdy! Thank you again. Hayley
There was a wasp in the garden once.
Everything was great the owners are very nice and there cottages are beautiful.
Would stay here again and certainly recommend to everyone. Such lovely accommodation set in pretty well kept surroundings. Very much enjoyed our stay.
Road traffic noise
Evening walks Not having to have a communal breakfast Nice place to sit outside after a hot day's work Cosy little cottage Friendly staff
Just one thing. I'm tall and the foot board on the end of the bed meant on couldn't get straight in bed
The mill, the cottages, the location ...
The layout of the bathroom could be improved
The cottage was in great surroundings. As soon as we arrived we were greeted nicely by a lovely lady and was shown around. very close to Chichester & west wittering beach.
Loved the range of buildings and the shop and laundry which woud have been very useful if staying longer. There is a good bus service to many resorts and lots of places such as the fantastic crazy golf complex nearby to keep families occupied.
Unfortunately the mill complex is situated on a very busy road without a footpath so reaching the bus stop is quite scary. It can also be difficult pulling out in the car at busy times.
Location, comfort, privacy. This is our second stay, had Mill Top accommodation this time, next time will try another cottage ??
Did not want to go home.
Location was great . . It's pet friendly which was great lovely courtyard , next to busy road which is quite noisy. Very nice people and very relaxing place. Great location .
Our 1 bed cottage was quite dated and in need of modernisation . It had to much furniture and was a bit crammed. Main road was quite noisy next to our cottage .
All the facilities you could require!Charming outside seating areas ,well organised for dog lovers ! Peacefully sited away from the busy / accessible main road !
I totally understand ..." If it ain't broke don't mend it !! " But as an Interior designer I would love to give the suits a fresh / lighter make over ....how dair I say that ! Also the fact that Wifi didn't quite reach our room was perhaps a good thing !!
The facilities on site were very good, and near to goodwood, beds very comfortable
Accommodation and grounds Pet friendly
Busy dangerous road had to go in and out of
Friendly owners, very relaxed. Very self contained unit. Clean and tidy. Great just to be able to let yourself in to the unit when you get there. Good to have the little shop.
Intermittent wi-fi. Parking could be tricky - not enough spaces. Some information would have been helpful such as where the BBQ area was for the unit we stayed in and where we could sit out.
Lack of visible staff - keys left in door and no interference. Spacious.
Difficult exit from property onto road - fast moving traffic in both directions with limited visibility.
Lovely place to stay, will certainly return.
Very cosy architecture
I love the fact that it's not a bland monotone identikit to so many other places. It's querky and beautifully set in tranquil surroundings, ideal for dog lovers or those who have none (our family are cat owners) We've been before and hope to return many more times.
Lovely relaxed setting and ver convenient for Chichester and the coast
Closs to the road so a bit noisy and you have to take the car for every journey.
What a great little place. We were delighted to find it and had a very enjoyable stay. We had everything we needed and more.
