Friendly staff

Well placed for a variety of tourist attractions - I was there for the Races,just 5 minutes away. Good beer,nice people, excellent room, good breakfast

The Lodge is beautifully appointed with modern features within a traditional environment. Absolutely first class presentation, appointments and value for money.

the room, nice and clean and all facilities for comfort and a nice olde worlde bar to visit. view from our window, green fields paddocks of goats, ponies and llamas, very pleasing

didn't want a cooked meal in the evening as we had had a full lunch. kitchen wouldn't prepare us sandwiches which was disappointing, but later we eventually managed to have a baguette made up after a talk with a friendly bar staff member

Friendly staff and variety of animal attractions at the back of the pub. This is a great location if you plan to paraglide in and around this area.

Staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and seemingly quite new, very bright and spacious.

Location, staff friendly and helpful, plenty of space in room and room light and airy. Bathroom lovely and clean. plenty of parking.

Stained and marked bed linen, mattress sunk, TV remote control not working properly. Very noisy room.

Whilst nothing was outstanding, everything was just fine. We had a good, undisturbed sleep.

Damp smell, most noticeable in the corridor outside, but also in the room - though it didn't detract from our stay and we soon acclimatised to it. Shower a bit harsh and there seemed to be no way to reduce the flow.

Rooms were very large and comfortable with a very comfy bed. Fantastic outside area for families or couples. Friendly staff. Very good value for money. Lovely breakfast.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. good sized room comfortable and clean. Good food and plenty of variety for everyone. Peaceful. Great play area for the kids.

The inn was very nice and cosy. The bathroom in the room was spectacular!! Great value for money!!

It could have been cleaner

My partner and I could not fault the staff, service, food and accommodation. Even though we only stayed for one night, we found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the pub was in a great location for going to the races at Wincanton. We will definitely stay here again.
