A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.
Whether you are looking for hotels near Edinburgh Airport or accommodations in the city center, Booking.com has a great range to choose from.

lovely old place, beautiful architecture with quaint little gift shops. Lot of things to do for both young and old. Lots of cobbles and hills or stairs though definitely not for people with mobility problems.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city, the people are the best!
Edinburgh is a beautiful city, the people are the best! Friendly & the best customer service I have ever experienced. So much history to explore, Edinburgh castle, ghost & history walks! The Royal Mile, Grassmarket, Princes street & George Street for great cafes & shops! There is Stockbridge & Dean Village. We walked by the waters of Leith, waterfall & wood to two art galleries! Oh, the Whiskey experience for a "dram."

What a place, so much to see and do, i would recommend doing a hop on hop off bus tour, if only just to take in the sights and get an idea of where everything is, we done a loop and then went back around and jumped off at the places we liked the look of most, it is a very hilly place too so take this into consideration, this is something we were not aware of before we went. overall Edinburgh is outstanding and it has a place in our hearts forever!

Edinburg Old Town was great to wander around in.
Edinburg Old Town was great to wander around in. No matter which way you looked, there were always at least a few beautiful monumental buildings, and the way the town is layered, built on a couple of low hills with bridges connecting them, made for some great nooks and crannies to explore at multiple levels. For example, in a single building there could be a restaurant at the valley level, as well as a restaurant at bridge level. If you are interested in history, there are also many great places to visit or tours to follow, like for example Edinburgh Castle, and the Underground Walking Tour.

Amazing city to be in, I have loved every minute of my stay.
Amazing city to be in, I have loved every minute of my stay. I was drawn to the castle and loved just being around it. The National Museum was incredible, maybe as I was child free so I took it all in. So happy to have spent so much time here on business and fully embraced the magic of the bagpipes and culture.
Hotel is a new building built in a very modern and stylish way. It is placed in a quiet area but close to the city centre by 15 min walk. Staff at the hotel is polite and helpful. Check in and check out procedure is simple and fast. Rooms are neat and keeped like that through all your stay. I stayed at queen room which had comfortable bedding and view of the city. Restaurant prices are affordable and food is tasty. Can't wait to come back and I absolutely recommend.
Pretty much perfect location as it’s in the middle of new town and old town , and right infront of the rail station. It also has a shortcut path to take you directly from the hotel to the Royal mile in about 20 seconds lol. It was perfect, you really can’t get a better location. Also they had so many amenities like an espresso machine and the fluffiest sheets ever. I was extremely happy and comfortable here. If I return to Edinburgh I will only stay here.
The hotel is very centrally located - in the heart of Edinburgh. It was an easy walk to the castle, royal mile, train station, new town, etc. Grass market is a great location surrounded by popular restaurants and pubs.
The staff is very welcoming and ensured that our stay is comfortable and safe. They take many measures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene which is very crucial in this new era.
Overall - we loved our stay and would highly recommend it.
The location was very convenient and quiet. You can catch one bus that will take you to the city centre and back. The amenities were very good for a 3 start hotel and the breakfast was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The temperature was just right. The staff were very friendly. Many thanks to Johnson at the reception. I would recommend d this hotel to anyone going to Edinburgh.
What you see is what you get. Truly a great place to stay in the city centre. A tram stop is situated in the same street as the hotel, the bus station is a wee walk away, as is the train station. Lots of restaurants near (I recommend the italian one beneath the hotel!) and also quite some sight seeing spots near, like Edinburgh Castle and Dean Village. The room was clean, pretty spacious and the bathroom was okay.
Breakfast buffet was more than ample. GF options and best organised I have ever seen for guests with any food intolerances. Very practical and well organised hotel. Staff very professional and efficient. Great base for exploring Leith or for going into Edinburgh city centre. Family, couple, people on business friendly. It ticks all the boxes. Bright and airy. Would not hesitate to recommend!
Room was very spacious, bathroom clean , towels where spotless etc bus stop into the city of Edinburgh just a couple minutes walk from the main entrance. Staff brilliant, typical weatherspoons pub great prices for food and drink ( alot cheaper than ones in the city centre) Great stay will definitely return. Also a car park at rear hotel if driving .
The location on the Royal Mile was perfect for walking to the Military Tattoo and Fringe Festival shows. Also very convenient to the castle, St. Giles, the National Museum of Scotland and everything else in Old Town. We also liked hotel because it had a small kitchen, and plenty of outlets for drying your hair and putting on makeup near a mirror.
Brilliant Location within walking distance to both the new and old town, Room very spacious and spotlessy clean beds very comfortable staff where very welcoming and we where able to check in to our room at 11am staff couldn't do enough for the guests we will deffo be back to stay thank you all for your amazing staff and lovely hotel
Excellent location, bus stop right outside the hotel. On check in, Lewis was amazing, full of information about Edinburgh and very helpful. Breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable but dated. I believe the hotel is in the process of being updated. All in all a very good, reasonably priced hotel close to the city centre
As I already said, it's kind of difficult to stay in Edinburgh while not spending your whole budget in hotels, so being kind of cheap (for Edinburgh) it's a plus. The staff was also really friendly and helpful, and they're 24/7 to help. The location was not bad for me (15 min walk to the city centre) since I enjoy those walks.
Hotel was amazing first time staying in Edinburgh and it didn’t disappoint. The room was lovely and the bathroom was spotless. Walked into the city centre both days and it wasn’t that far from all the attractions. Staff at the hotel were lovely as well and the place smelled amazing. Would definitely stay again.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was spacious, comfy, and well equipped, hotel very close to Holyrood Park and the city centre (with rental bikes available too, very convenient). Would recommend for a stay in Edinburgh! P.s. best haggis we've ever had, for breakfast.
A big 4 bedroom apartment, great for a city centre stay. Could nicely fit a group of 9 in the flat. We really loved the location - so close to Edinburgh's Royal Mile and Castle as well as around many nice cafes and pubs. Would 100% recommend.
Very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood .A spacious, beautiful room and very clean. It is 10 minute walk from the new town and 15-20 minutes from the old town. Also very close to Dean's village and a beautiful walk along the river Leith
Really well set up, and much more comfortable than a hotel. We also enjoyed being within easy reach of city centre while still being in a quieter, less touristy part of town. It was the perfect base for exploring Edinburgh!
The view of Edinburgh’s Old Town and the Castle from our rooms was stunning! The hotel’s location in Princes Street was spot on for its easy access to lots of sites and activities.
Hotel staff were, at all times, pleasant and helpful. Location was absolutely perfect for tram service to Edinburgh City Centre. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
