We stayed at this hotel as a family wedding was being held here. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff were excellent. Our bedroom was on the small size but speaking to other guests ours was average size but some were bigger.

Clean compact rooms. Staff friendly. Very close to Harry Potter Studio tour location so that was excellent. Rooms in courtyard are small

Location for the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour was excellent. Whether travelling by car or bus each are easily accessible with a bus stop opp the entrance to the hotel drive or if you want to walk its 30 minutes away. The hotel facilities we're excellent even at 1am when I wanted a hot chocolate the hotel reception we're on hand and produced one! Staff we're friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room walls are thin and sound proofing is poor. We did get disturbed throughout our stay by noisy guests in the corridor and doors bang slamming at all hours.

Hotel was nice and clean looked nice from outside. Arrived to hotel late as was visiting family and when we got there we could not order anything to eat from the room service menu. In the morning we had no hot water in the shower. Was 20mins left of breakfast and the resptionist told us we was too late. If payed full price for hotel we would of been extremely dissatisfied.

The location is exceptionally peaceful and yet still close to motorways. I encountered only reception staff and they could not have been more courteous or helpful, charming and informative without being over fussy. I appreciated the spotless white bedlinen and the clean, attractive presentation of my room. I cannot comment on the restaurant provision as I had 'room only' but the bar menu on the bedside table offered reasonably priced & fair variety of meals. The grounds are lovely, I only regret I had too few daylight hours to enjoy them. I would certainly use the hotel again, hopefully when I have more time to appreciate and explore the setting.

We were looking for a cheap nights sleep after taking my husband to the snow dome as a birthday treat we live 2 hours away but travelling back at 11pm and 8 months pregnant wasnt an option, the room was clean, tidy and relaxing, we didnt use the facilities as was just there to sleep really and for £40 a night it was perfect, both the girl on reception and the lady serving breakfast were lovely and a credit to the hotel, booking in and out was easy and we had a brief yet nice stay

Great value for money offer on the room, however, restaurant was expensive. Rooms are small and situated away from the main building connected via a long corridor resembling a motel building

Very impressive building at the end of a long drive. Such a pity that the hotel itself is in a far less impressive building next door. We were fortunate enough to be offered a good discount on booking but feel the full price may be excessive bearing in mind the following comments. Long walk along cold corridor up stairs [no lifts and no offer of help with heavy cases] to a very small room. The shower was difficult to control and ran either extremely hot or cold.

Absolutely incredible value for money. Booked the hotel as a romantic weekend for Christmas and didn't expect to have such luxury for the price I paid! The use of the beautiful private swimming pool was included in the price, and it was honestly divine. Would not hestitate to book this hotel again, could not fault it one bit. The grounds are huge and stunning, it's just a shame that it rained so we weren't able to experience them to the full extent. A beautiful retreat. I cannot complain about the hotel, at all!

The customer service was outstanding. The staff make you feel very comfortable and attend to your requests with efficiency and quality. Very satisfied with the overall service and was a main contributor to the stay. There was no breakfast for room service. Which wouldve be ideal. But its not a complaint- juSt a suggestion.

Locaton was close to where I wanted to be, the rate through booking.com good. Breakfast ok, Buffet style breakfast, all the usual buffet type choices, nothing special however. Has a swimming pool but did not try it. Overall ok would probably stay again if in area. None that I can think of.

Got a discounted deal so very good value- not sure I'd be so happy at full tarrif though. Modern, comfy and clean - you don't stay in the old house in the pics. Buffet breakfast (not included in rate)- cardboard bacon and frisbee eggs - no offer of anything different. Bar meals very limited although restaurant looked good but pricey. Felt a bit soul-less and staff on auto - typical of large operation.

The location was excellent it was a 10 minute drive to my meeting, which was my main reason for booking the hotel, the second been price. As a De Vere hotel, I thought the room was small, it had dirty marks on the wall however the room its self was clean. In addition the room appeard to have an infestation of laidybirds.......in October ? Although the heating (radiator) was off the room was too warm and I ended up sleeping with the window partly open as their was no airconditioning in the room ? If the local council permitts the hotel could do with a more prominnent sign on the road side as you can easily drive past particularly if following a satnav, which takes you past the hotel and down a small country lane, although adjacent to the hotel.

Location suited needs Hotel was very nice however our stay coincided with a wedding reception and it became very noisy in the early hours of the morning which we had o report to reception. We also thought that although the rooms were very nice the walls were paper thin and you could hear every noise.
