Wifi was consistently slow. Other than that nothing
The dirty pillows, sheets, decor, lack of cold water in the taps, prostitutes walking around, sex noises
Location is good. Beds are clean.
Email sent four hours before the arrival about the sudden cancellation of reservation. After enquiry, they explained the email was sent by error and claimed the room was ready. However, they asked us to move to another 'suite' upon arrival, which was clearly not of the same grade. Room was fine but the lights were not working. They repaired the lights which can be turned on but cannot turned off!! Two of the lights kept flashing when I tried to turn it off, this left me no means but to let them on for the whole night.
location was very good, simple breakfast but enought to start a day
luck of communication with hotel reception
I can´t come to Think of anything possitiv about this hotel.
Awful older man in the reception when we checked in. He was rude and as we entered he was busy yelling at what seemed to be a cleaner. The lady who checket us out was to busy texting to even notice us. The room was small och Dirty. The floor was a carpert filled with dust and spots from dropped food from earlier guests. My friend found red lipsticks mark on her pillow EEUW. And dark hair in the bathrom (we are both blondes) an dark hair in the bed.... Do not stay here! AWFULL!!!!!
Everything else! The breakfast was a joke.Luke warm coffee and sliced white bread for toasting.Only honey in a sachet to spread on the toast. Also we specifically asked when booking to be allowed to leave our bags behind reception on Sunday until we were due to leave London. It was only after a heated exchange with the hotel that they agreed to this.We had a bad nights sleep due to the room being far too hot and the continual noise from the street below. All in all a very disappointing and expensive experience!
As an experience backpacker, I consider myself a quite generous, patient customer who doesn't have high expectation. But this is honestly the worst experience I ever had over the years travelling internationally.. let alone in a city like London. The room is clearly unclean: bizarre smell in bad air circulation, grossly molded bed, dirty furniture and broken equipment...and yes, a pillow with a dirty footprint! yet the responding service was awful---personnel were very ignorantly impolite and irresponsibly inefficient. After a night's boiling emotion, we just want to leave there ASAP after the utterly cheesy breakfast. Yes it is cheaper than most advertised hotels but without any standard of quality at all. But you won't want to ruin your vacation with this horrible memory. Sorry but this time I just can't complain more and can't imagine even worse experience might have been for other travellers...
Good central location very near Queensway tube. I only paid £84 for two nights so the price was good. For this money I would have accepted a slightly tired, old fashioned experience, which I got, but for any level of payment, I expect a decent level of cleanliness - I did not get this!
The cleanliness standards left a fair bit to be desired. I was travelling alone and this hotel was ok but I would not have wanted my wife to have had to endure the experience. The room was tired and well worn, the bed was very soft and the carpet could have done with a good hoover. The shower didn't drain away and despite asking the cleaner for this to be looked at, it didn't happen during the two days I spent there.
Cheap, good location
Terrible mattress, laughable breakfast
Location near the tube station and other local shop. For the hotel, the reception area is ok and the display at the front, apart from this, there is nothing I like. The Hotel should be closing down before it spread disease such as EBOLA. The dirtiest HOTEL I have ever been in my life!!!!!!
I dislike everything about the HOTEL. The Hotel should be closing down before it spread disease such as EBOLA. The dirtiest HOTEL I have ever been in my life!!!!!! the hotel should be close down!!!!!!!!! Poor value for money
Rather than go into detail, here's a summary of the issues Plug sockets hanging off the wall. Cups in the room were filthy. Water tasted revolting. Breakfast was really poor. Cockroaches in the beds. Toilet was dirty. The beds smelt damp. Kettle just about worked. The level of dust in the room was unbelievable. Floor was filthy. We paid £60.00 for a double, I wonder what the more expensive rooms look like? This hotel is clearly tired and needs A LOT of investment to get it up to standard.
There were stains on the carpet and also in the bathroom. I initially thought some spots in the sink were permanent chips but later realize it just hadn't been wiped down properly. The sheets on the bed were wrinkled and too small for the bed so they were basically just laid on top of the matress. The water stream from the shower was also quite low.
dirty carpets. basement room has a window that overlooked a dirty storage area. Telly does not have a remote. Heater is not working at the basement. I endured my stay there. I never felt so cheap in my life staying in that hotel made me feel like it.
Very good location
Room wasn't cleaned, I found trash from the previous guests which hasn't been removed and wet spots on the floor, A shoe in the Wardrobe!.
The staff were nice and a good location.
The beds were so uncomfortable. And the breakfast was a poor selection.
The location of the hotel was great. Bus stop right outside and tubes to both central and district/circle line were no more than 5 -10 min walk away. Staff were very friendly and helpful at the hotel. Breakfast was nice.
Unfortunately my room had a draft as there was an external door inside, which was next to the bed. The windows which also let chill in. which was also next to the bed. It was a cold night I stayed and hotel did turn on radiator and give me a fan heater. However bit frustrating to go down and ask for these when room should be warm enough.
I liked the fact that is was value for money.
Carpets need changing, and stuff left in the stairs and closet.
i paid 124stg for three nights great value as room had double bed and was ten mins to oxford st staff were polite and friendly and my bed was done every morning i left
shower head was hanging maybe holder wasnt working and there were marks on the walls that could have been cleaned but they didnt disrupt my stay
Very dirty, one mouse into the room!nothing for breakfast...only bad quality coffee, bread and butter!i made breakfast only with bread and butter...stay away!
Wi-fi and location are good
Every thing other small room. bad cleaning old furniture haven't elevator poor breakfast more and more
poor facilities (very small space) there is no soap or Tissue in bathroom poor bed poor tv poor reception
- good location
- no elevator - they take 5% when u buy by credit card
I liked the location of the hotel, it was easy to walk to and find tube stations, local pubs, tessco, McDonald's ect.
The staff at the beginning we're unorganised, it seemed like even though we booked in advance for a room no one at the hotel sorted a room out for us. The last minute room was filthy, the bathroom had lime scale all on the tap handles and shower head, the back of the toilet had a thick layer of dust and we wasn't provided with hand soap, and there was a used shampoo sachet from the last guests left on the mirror shelf, which we wasn't provided with either. There was also tooth paste splash marks all the way down the black wall tiles that had been from other guests and continuesly not been cleaned. There was also a non usable door in the middle wall that would of lead to another guest room, and we could hear every word and ever movement they said and this lead to a bad nights sleep.
Room too constricted and beds quite uncomfortable
The wifi at this hotel is the only thing i love about this place
The cleanliness... is non existant
