The shower Staff not very friendly
Felt I was paying a lot for what I was getting.
Checking in was late due to housekeeping problem. Bathroom light was never fix even highlighted to staff more then once. Bed was bad.
The Hotel was in a perfect location for our visit to the area and was exceptionally cheap.
We checked in at 11am as we were attending an event at Hyde Park, we returned at 10pm and our room was still not ready. The Hotel is in need of a total refurbishment, the carpets were badly worn and the bedrooms were 'tired' and not clean. The staff were 'indifferent' with their attitude and did not seem bothered that at 10pm our room was not ready. The continental breakfast choice was poor, toast, cereal and croissants with a few slices of sweaty cheese arranged on a plate.
Bathroom cleanliness Overall hotel conditions Smell in room and halls No mattress or pillow protection Room size
We stayed here overnight whilst attending a couple of concerts in Hyde Park and to be honest that was all it was OK for. The place is tatty and tired and far better rooms are available for less money. The carpets and bedding was stained, walls filthy and marked, balcony covered in dog ends etc. The staff were friendly and helpful but even that can make up for this dire place!
Helpful and nice staff. Good value for money.
The location was the only positive
Dirty, stank of smoke, noisy, cramped and over-priced.
Excellent location, just a short distance from central London. Fantastic value for for money with continental breakfast included. Receptionist was very friendly and there was a warm welcome. Handy for the tube station and lots of lovely restaurants on the doorstep, including the wonderful Kalamaris Greek Restaurant, only a couple of minutes walk, serving traditional Greek dishes at reasonable prices.
Room was a little cramped and the carpet could do with being replaced. There was no WiFi connectivity in the bedroom but a good connection in the reception area.
The pictures of room is deceptive. The room is very small and bed and accessories was not really good.
Looked okay from the outside, and they did look after our luggage for the day until we left. Reception was open 24hrs which suited us as we arrived in London after 9.30pm. Taxis were easily obtained outside the hotel, and there were plenty of places to eat on the next street
The beds were uncomfortable and the bedding looked like it needed a soak in bleach, there were stains on the carpets, and hair in the shower! There was no lift which is ok if you're on the first floor, but not on 3rd floor! The carpet on the stairs was worn and dangerous in places. Everywhere looked like it needed a lick of paint - the walls were stained and dirty, and overall we were really disappointed.
Do yourself a favour and find somewhere else to stay. The only reason we booked this extremely overpriced and shambolically managed hotel was because we needed to make a reservation at very short notice and it was one of the very few hotels left which was anywhere near our budget. My wife and I booked this hotel for a short (three day) stay in London for our family (we have three kids aged 5, 8, and 10). On checking in we were told that we wouldn't be given a room at 66-68 Inverness Terrace (i.e. the location of the hotel) but instead would be housed at Westbourne Terrace. This was rather irritating because nowhere on the hotel's website does it suggest that accomodation at Westbourne Terrace is a possibility. The receptionist told us that Westbourne Terrace is "two minutes' walk" away from Inverness Terrace. It's not. It's a good ten minute walk without children (and at least a fifteen minute walk with three children!). This was another irritation (and represented another lack of honesty -- a theme which I see crops up repeatedly in other online reviews of Whiteleaf Hotel). Later, we found out from the receptionist that she had never been to Westbourne Terrace in any case... The hotel organised a "taxi" (but not with a registered taxi firm) to take us to Westbourne Terrace. We eventually got there at 16:15. We were originally told that we could check in at 14:00. The delays were caused because (a) the rooms at Westbourne Terrace had to be cleaned (why this couldn't have been sorted out by 2 pm was not explained), and (b) there was over half an hour's wait for the taxi to arrive. When we eventually got to Westbourne Terrace we found that it was not a hotel at all but private accomodation -- we were staying in a flat. Again, it would have been a little more honest of Whiteleaf Hotel if they had been upfront about this.
Nothing. I left this hotel after 1 night loosing 4 nights worth of money and checked into a travel lodge!
Mould in room, windows and walls. Towels damp and dirty. Smell of burning ?? Drugs kept feeling dizzy and sick. Hotel reception said " what do you expect it's carnival". Following morning moved case off floor to find bugs running around. I have photos if required. Hotel staff very poor. Said they did not have a manager. Would not give me any of my money back. Still waiting for a call from anyone with authority as I requested. This hotel was awful and should be removed from your web site.
Location, location, location; room service (had fresh towels, toiletries, complimentary tray top-ups daily)
Noisiness (single frame), lack of cleanliness in the room - stranger's hair everywhere : ( quite dusty - but what could you expect from 2* cheap hotel
The Hotel is a good location near the train stations, underground tubes. The staff are nice, breakfast is excellent. Wifi connection is good.
When it concern to cleanliness a big letter FAILED, the sink holes is dirty, the dirts stuck in it, never been brushed. Soap dish is dirty. Shower curtains smells and dirty. The shower overflows.POOR HOUSEKEEPING.
very central and easy to get around London.
the shared bathroom needs to be cleaned more often
Excellent location, friendly staff and close to tube station.
The Internet was slow, bed sheets were not clean, and the toilet was dirty as well...
The ease of finding the hotel and very easy access to transport and shops.
The bathroom was too small and not what I expected.
Dirty glasses in room, not cleaned before we went in nor during the stay, shower didn't drain properly, hot and cold controls were backwards on it too.
Cleanness Bathroom Breakfast
not good service
Location, close to tube and easy access to public transport. Plenty of shops.
Poor bedding Noise from other guests No working TV One towel for a double room
Location.. Very close to all amenities.
Terrible WIFI. Were booked into a basement room on the first night which had filthy carpets, no working hairdryer, leaking air on and was right next to the kitchen/cafeteria so were woken up at at all hours - fortunately we were granted a new room for remainder of our stay but were very disappointed with this booking.
