Location was perfect. Staff was nice. Room was clean Nasty, dirty hole in the carpet right where you put your feet down to get out of bed. We didn't dare step on it so we put a towel over it. Everything was clean. Cleaning staff clearly did their job. The hotel was in the middle of renovating so the lift was inoperable but would have liked to have been informed of that fact when we booked. No excuse for hole in carpet. Would only recommend this hotel to people that are looking for low rate.

On arrival I was informed that there was no record of my booking despite the fact that I had a print out of my booking made in August. After some deliberation and my request to speak to the manager I was given a double room but I needed a twin room for myself and my sister and so requested a room more suitable for our needs.More deliberation and eventually we were given two double rooms with an instruction that our cases had to be packed for removal to our previous booking. On return to the hotel we both found that we had not been moved and we were still in our previous rooms but our key cards did not work. As my sister was on the third floor and I was on the second floor we found the climb up and down very frustrating as both of us are in our 70'S.All round we did not have a very good experience.Anyone sleeping to the front of the hotel should take earplugs as the noise is horrendous. No compensation I will not be back

The best thing about this hotel is its location, near everything, 1 min from bayswater station and just 2 from the central line that is queensway station...near by shops and restaurants. The worst was 1- old carpet with bad smell 2- the lift didn't work during part of my stay , had to carry lugguage by myself through narrow stairs 3- no left luggage 4-no notice about works during our stay

The only good things about the hotel were the very pleasant staff and clean linens. The rest of the hotel was old, had holes in the filthy carpets, rooms were tiny, beds pushed up against the wall in a supposed double room. We complained and were moved to a slightly bigger room but the carpet had an even bigger hole than the first room. The hotel is in the process of being re-furbished and renovated but until then I wouldn' t advise anyone to stay there. The hotel had also lost our booking but fortunately we had the booking.com printout with us so they had to find us a room.

Location and exterior They were renovating which meant loud construction. The staff was not helpfull at all. My room wasn't ready when I arrived, I had to wait 3 hours for it. And the room must have been the smallest ever. The taps were leaking. And the bathroom was not bigger than a normal bathtub.

Very comfortable beds/bedding, lovely pillows (felt like natural feather/down)! Hotel has left-luggage room (locked), which was handy as the time we arrived we couldn't check in but they stored our luggage until we could. Friendly staff. Nescafe coffee and Tetley tea in the room (some hotels have cheap brand tea/coffee!). Hotel very handy for the tube (Bayswater) literally 1 min away (next street)! Located on a nice street, near Hyde Park. Bustling area - the next street (Queensway) has high street shops, eateries, tourist tat shops, supermarkets etc and there's a indoor shopping centre a few mins walk away. Crap little 14" tv, located on the dressing table I.E. in the middle of our 2 single beds, so neither one of us could watch it comfortably! Shower was poor - I think the water came out of about 6 holes only! The decor was a tad dated and the hotel overally a teeny bit shabby but at £71 for a twin room in a decent area of London, it was pretty good (although breakfast costs extra).

The first room we were assigned in the basement had a terrible smell. Thank goodness the hot water wasn't working and the shower kept on dripping throughout the night because we were given another room on the 2nd floor which was so much better. The only thing that I find unfair is that if we hadn't had those "mishaps", we would have had to spend our nights in a badly aired and terribly smelly room for the same price. I do think these rooms should be lowered in price or the clients informed that they would be hosted in a smelly basement room! A part from that the staff were wonderful and the second room too! I probably will come and stay with you again but I will ask not to be put in the basement!

Ideal place to visit Westminster in a short stay. Walking distance to Hyde park and two metro stations. Good for muslim travelers as many Halal food stores are just around the corner. Decent Room is small but it was expected. Not ideal if you're staying in the hotel for long time as underground metro noise is a bit inconvenient

We arrived to find construction work going on on one side of the hotel which was completely covered in scaffolding. We were given a room directly on this side making it impossible to even open the curtains or window as the scaffolding walkway was against the window,..we immediately asked for a different room as the view and the noise of construction was unacceptable. We were given no prior warning regarding the building work which I also feel is unacceptable as this may have resulted in us picking a different hotel. The staff were very understanding and the next day we were moved to a different room on the other side of the hotel away from the noise of workmen and building work.

Location is convenient as it is close to many restaurants, super markets, and two tube stations. Claustrophobic shower, super squeaky bed, and a television the size of an iPod. The room certainly wasn't worth the 107 gbp we paid per night.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but the room was awful. Very worn out furniture and carpets that were threadbare, in need of decoration and mdernisation, old style TV in room, not particularly clean curtains and net curtains. Very disappointing. Breakfast cheap but not very nice, fruit salad appeared to have been prepared long before service and did not appear fresh.
