Score from 559 reviews Good
Staff very helpful and friendly Nice place to stay.
Good value and comfortable
Spacious single room with attractive furnishings. Professional, helpful and friendly staff.
Parking area round the back is rather unkempt - lets the place down a bit.
Location was good, breakfast was fine, staff were pleasant. Good car parking on site.
Room was in a terrace house behind main hotel, room was very dated with single beds.
staff very friendly
poor sound on tv. Could do with better lighting,(difficult to read at night).
Even though I checked in late, the lady on reception was extremely pleasant and quick and I was in my room within 5 minutes. The room was basic but actually bigger and more comfortable than I thought it would be, the bed being of much better quality than I ever expected. I had a great nights sleep.
I genuinely can't think of anything I really cared about but if I was to be nit picking, I could mention that the toilet lid wouldn't go up, which for a gentleman when pee'ing wasn't ideal.
We just needed somewhere to stay to attend an event. Staff were very cheerful and helpful.
Extremely helpful and kind staff! We really enjoyed our stay there and we recommend it!
Friendly check in Staff knowledge of area Homely
Close to main road.
The hotel needs a complete up date! Out side area was very scruffy
The location (near coop, Beeston train station) was ok although on a main road and the room in general was clean. Breakfast was included in the price and parking was available behind the property.
The bathrooms were lime green, circa 1970 and the toilet was separate to the shower/bath room (no additional sink) and there were storage cupboards everywhere. The room is in general need of an update/renovation. Breakfast service was chaotic and slow, we were sat down for quite some time before we got asked for tea/coffee and others got to order their breakfast before us despite arriving after us. There clearly was no system to breakfast service, I would recommend seating by room number and serve on first come, first serve basis.
The room itself was cosy and the bed really comfortable! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast delicious. Not too far by bus to Nottingham city!
It was quite hot in the room, the heaters were left on even though it was hot outside!
Close to the Victoria Pub Great Value
Rooms look dated
Close to train station. Comfortable beds and very clean
Location and value for money
Wonderful staff, couldn't fault their welcome and warmth.. Very comfortable bed. Excellent poached eggs. TV was broken so they changed it immediately.
I've never put in a bad review before but feel strongly enough to do so this time. I was in the Annexe. As I entered the building the musty smell made me feel ill. Paint flaking, carpet cheap nylon, unwelcoming. My room at £55 per night was a huge disappointment. Very noisy on the main road - needs double glazing and a fan for hot days. Slept badly because of noise. Antiquated shower - inadequate after a busy, tiring day. Fittings ill-matched. Picture of a grey concrete building on the wall not exactly decorative. Very disappointing. The main building seemed nicer so maybe the rooms are better there.
Room nice and spacious, clean, en suite a little dated but ok. Receptionist and bar person was full of info and made our stay very welcome. Night porter good.
Our room was right on a very busy noisy main road. The rain(lol). Breakfast seemed a bit rushed in morning but otherwise all was fine.
friendly helpful staff comfortable using the hotel food good, wide range for breakfast good value for short stays good location for me
rooms need a little TLC, perhaps a bit dated,
Friendly welcome Comfortable bedroom Well laid out breakfast room
Would have liked more secure bike storage overnight
Left alone and not pestered
No towel was left for 2nd night, bitten by bed bugs, had to pay for wifi
Very helpful staff also very friendly.
Noise from traffic when we had the Windows open. However the double glazing was good.
Great staff, smashing breakfast. Great value. Would definitely return.
Dated Rooms (although very clean)
Clean, comfy & amazingly friendly, helpful staff.
Although dog friendly they weren't allowed in any area of the restaurant.
The host was most welcoming towards me upon my arrival. She provided a secure place for my bike and recommended a terrific Italian restaurant which I used that evening. The bed was very comfortable and I woke feeling refreshed after my day long cycle.
