The location of the hotel was ideal. It was basic but clean and good for a city break where you dont want to spend too much time in the hotel. We stayed as an overnight stop on our way to Windsor from Durham and we enjoyed our stay and would stay in an Ibis again.
We didnt pay extra for the breakfast as we thought the price was a bit steep for a continental style buffet. We stopped off while we were out for food instead.
hotel easy to find
room was a bit cold
wifi clean hotel, comfortable bed flat screen TV
there was no halal meat or chicken on the restaurant menu the view from my window was blocked by very tall trees
Easy to find and parking free and plentiful! Used the hotel as an overnight stop-off because current roadworks mean heavy traffic and had a 9 am start in the city the following morning.
Ideal for watching Birmingham City home games
Plastic glasses on match days
The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff friendly and super efficient. Nice clean shiny wine glasses The bar man held them up to the light to check them
We could not fault this hotel
Only a short walk to the centre of Birmingham Room was clean and tidy Bed was comfortable Excellent shower facilities
Room was quite warm and the air conditioning system was confusing to use
Comfy bed for a cheap price for a one night stay
Helpful staff Clean rooms & public areas Good quality for a budget hotel
Friendly staff, security at night, great bed and shower.
Toilet not having a window
Good clean modern hotel. Night staff very helpful.. Day staff a bit sour.. Had nice quiet room with good sleep
Day staff were not overly friendly.
Pillows bit big
Easy pleasant place to stay. Good parking
It was very noisy from the other room and mist of the night alli could hear was shouting to the point where I was considering contacting reception regarding it as I only managed to gain two hours rest
Room was comfortable and clean
Breakfast was awful , flavourless and like cardboard
Good location- if you drive it is centrally located to many areas in Birmingham and has on site parking
Bed was not made when we got there Window was faulty
The staff where pleasant and the breakfast very good
Air Conditioning was broke, stayed for 2 days and no attempt to repair and when asked the staff they said a lot of the AC units are not working!!! Well get someone to repair them would never stay at this particular hotel again even though we have a client very close. I was very surprised as Ibis are normally to a decent standard. But this hotel was definitely not an acceptable standard.
I liked my bedroom :)
Bit far out
Fairly cheap. Big shower.
Air con didn't work. Said it was 'automatic' based on the outside temperature. Hottest weekend of the year and we had a sauna of a room with no air cooling and a window that opened 2 inches. Staff less than helpful. Reception nice and air conditioned however!
good location, clean and good service
the carpet has bad smell
Stayed for a single night as close to Heartlands hospital. Decent room, big bed. Clean and comfortable. Shower was good. Check-in straight forward. Basic and good value for a last minute booking. Plus free parking - always a bonus.
Situated off a dual carriageway traffic noise not helpful if your sleep is easily disturbed. Wasn't quite keen on the green doors and decor in the hallways/corridors. Walking through them reminded me a bit of the old style council flats in London! Bathroom ventilator quite noisy.
The staff were very accommodating and pleasant.
Breakfast tasted like everything came out of a tin the scrambled egged were tasteless, the mushrooms tasted as though they were tinned and they ran out of sausages for breakfast! The location was on a very busy road so if traffic noise bothers you then don't bother. No air conditioning so the room was very hot.
It was easy to get to as location was great. The room was clean and the wifi get idea.
The staff was hard to understand as they spoke little english.
Cheap, comfy bed
£10 in a taxi to town center Staff were not very smiley or welcoming The room was boiling, the air con didn't work and the window did not open far. It was also very noisy in the car park in the early hours.
The beds were comfy in an ok location next door to a McDonald's so you've got somewhere to go to eat when you get back from being out
The location for where we went to go was slightly too far other than that it was decent. The wifi wasn't up to a great standard. I got quicker speeds using my own 4g or 3G which is unlimited so it wasn't the end of the world
