Score from 1419 reviews Very good
The comfort of the room, with the tea and coffee. cleanliness great
Rude staff and unhelpful
Brilliant central location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had a delightful stay and will definitely go back .
Good location, breakfast was nice, staff were very helpful.
Room was very basic, plastic spoons to make a drink in the room, scrambled egg in the morning was overcooked.
Everything was good
The fact that there was a problem with room as I'm disabled but it was soon sorted out!!
staff and services
the location was in china town and club land unable to sleep with horns blowing
Proximity to train station.
Very small plates for breakfast.
Reception area very spacious staff helpful location ideal just a short walk from market and main shops
Beds not to comfy and cooked breakfast food was cold
We were really satisfied with our stay at the Ibis. Parking was available on site and the location was fantastic. We stayed in Birmingham for leisure purposes where all we needed was a central location and a comfy bed for a reasonable price, which is what we got. The late check out of 12 is also an added bonus.
The squeezy hand soap bottles. Little awkward to use.
Close to the rail station and good choice of eateries, English and Chinese. Staff were very good too.
Only one drawback, which was being woken at 3.15am by the night club leavers, however, that was only about 15-20 minutes of excited shrieking whilst they all got into their taxis and then it was quiet again!
Rooms warm. Staff always polite and helpful
Don't have a room at the back of the hotel! There is a disco close by and the noise is horrendous, can't sleep and goes on to 2/3 am. The pillows are like sandbags, if one fell on your head it would probably kill you!
The friendliness of the staff and efficiency. Their lack of knowledge about things like buses to certain places was overshadowed by their willingness to be helpful and to make sure that the customer was happy. The cleanliness of the bedrooms was excellent. The fourth floor room cleaner along corridor where my room was (439) worked diligently in each room.
Having to pay extra for breakfast, when I had paid over the odds for my room as the pricing of the rooms was different to when I booked. I ended up paying £35 more, because I was asked for payment when booking. Then I had to pay another £30 for breakfasts. The waiting around for items to be cooked such as croissants, for which I had to wait over ten minutes. There was a lack of information brochures about what was on in B'ham.
Good central location clean quiet
Easy access to eating places with many choices. Good for shopping.
Rather noisy late at night in the neighborhood.
Shower was incredibly underpowered hardly enough to wet your head!
Location is central Price is fair Cheap parking (£10)
Very loud if room backs on to Arcadian Many of the staff have poor English
great location friendly staff warm an d comfortable a very enjoyable stay.
Location Near to theatre
Make sure you ask for a quiet room. No problem for me
Location for shopping great
The noise that kept us awake until 4am from th night club below our window
Close to all shops and amenities
A little noisy outside late at night as close to pubs and clubs
Staff at desk, very helpful Could leave bags
No staff at bar when we arrived
The twin bedded room was basic but warm and comfortable. Tea and coffee provided was very welcome.
Unfortunately the shower did not work, but after a call to reception we were given keys to another room to use that shower. Slightly inconvenient, but at least we got a shower.
I thought the bed was very comfortable and the pillows weren't too hard. The shower was easy to use and lovely and hot. Also the breakfast was superb and plenty of choice and fresh and hot even at 10.30am.
It was a bit further from the city centre than we expected, this was only a minor problem as we were taking our shopping bags back on a few trips. Also our room was overlooking china town which was very noisy all night. Thankfully I took earplugs with me!.
Location for us was brilliant! And it was good value for money, room was small and the single beds were right next to each other but for the amount of time we were there it didn't effect us!!
Nightclub was literally next door so it was noisy, but by the time we came back from our night out it was quiet!! Try and get a room higher up and on the opposite side to where the lifts are!
