The Birmingham Britannia Hotel is across from Birmingham New Street Station. It offers rooms with bathtubs and showers, Jenny’s Restaurant, where you can see the chef’s at work, and Harvey’s Bar.

Score from 2071 reviews Good
Very good reception staff and noon check in is excellent.
The location was ideal
It was very expensive for the size and quality of the room, I've stayed in bigger and better before for a lot less.
good Location, very Close to the bullring, free Wifi, all and all quite
breakfast is absolutly bad the tablets always dirty, allways is somsthing missing one of two Juice boxes allways empty...prce 7,5 Pound for that Service is really a joke!!!
Close to train station, shopping & historic sites. Clean and comfortable.
Bar at Hotel a little disorganized. Had to wait for service & change (not enough in till). This happened more than once.
You get all the noise from outside and from other guests. Windows need to be double glazed. Double beds are made of two single pushed together and sheeted separately.
Easier to check in and the room was clean although on the small side for two Pokey bathroom
The room was on the side where the square was, it was noisy all night!! Thank you for that not appreciated
Staff were welcoming & friendly, very convenient - easy walk to the station and 2 minutes from the Hippodrome, where my conference was based. Comfortable bed, clean room, some free wi-fi.
Having had the room paid for in advance with a company credit card it was tiresome to have to provide a personal card - even if I had run up a room service bill, they did have the business address. Quite a lot of traffic noise & a window that wouldn't quite shut meant it wasn't the best night's sleep.
Very close to city centre and convenient for bullring and New Street station. Staff very helpful showing location of places wanted to visit on street map.
I asked for non-down pillows, but was told they only had one type of pillow, but couldn't say if they were down or not. I think they were - I started sneezing pretty quickly anyway - so had to put the pillows in the bathroom and sleep without them.
Clean and tidy and central
Too small and far too noisy.
it is very good that i just pay low price can live in the city centre
wifi is bad
Its in a great spot, close to the train station and in the Arcadia complex, I was seeing a show in the glee club so it was perfect, literally around the corner.
It was a little noisy, the nightlife leaks through the windows a bit, but not so much to ruin a good night sleep
What I didn't like, well where do I start.having to wait 10 minutes before finding a member of staff.having to tolerate the obnoxious language and aggressive behaviour of a stag do whilst trying to get to the lifts.having to tolerate a scruffy dated room.having to tolerate the endless noise from the night club below the room until 4.30am,and having to pay £138 for the privilege. We stayed here because we thought we would have Quality and value for money, instead we just had no sleep and definitely don't get value for money.
fantastic location, good price for rooms and they try to fill your requests without all the fuss of ...... well we will have to see ........ or there will be extra charge, good customer service in a time where good customer service is hard to find, well done Ibis for thinking of your Customers
Terrible noisy location. Birmingham at its worst. Avoid this Ibis if you want a good sleep.
The staff were really polite and helpful The bed was oh so comfy The location was really central and close to everything
Noisy location, but it is central so can't be avoided Room was extremely small
Good location, plenty of good restaurants & pubs nearby and very close to central railway station, so easy to connect to London etc. Friendly & effective staff, good breakfast with excellent coffee, excellent connectivity free of charge.
Excellent place to stay n access great shopping n close to the station. Station undergoing renovation to no signage to hotel Good room contents n convienient bar in lobby. Like they have a map n went through it with you where u wanted to visit.
Hotel placed for shopping but despite my asking ahead if I could store my shopping after check out ( to do some more!) and being told yes. At check out they told me It's £2 per bag. So be warned if you want to shop after checking out
The worst hotel have ever been in Birmingham. The bedding so poor infact I regret lodging there. Serious improvement to be done there.
Staff are really friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was excellent! Room was clean and had everything we needed.
Pillows were hard :/
Noise of music until early hours.
It was in a great area for shopping restaurants etc.
The noise was horrendous on the road side. It was all night till 5 or 6 in morning. Although bed was comfortable I didn't get a decent sleep.
I love the location of this hotel, in the heart of China town & a short walk to new street, the bull ring, lots of places to eat on the doorstep
The bathroom floor had a hole in it & a small leak
Stayed here as within a ten minute walk of New Street Railway Station for train to NEC. Friendly welcome on arrival. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Will stay again when we come up to see the sites.
Simple straightforward facilities for a reasonable price VERY convenient for station and centre Helpful and efficient staff Good value breakfast Felt safe in 'lively' part area
Not the hotel's fault but this area of the city is 'party central'. Most rooms look over The Arcadian leisure complex with its lively outdoor bars, terraces and facilities. On Friday/Saturday it is 'lively' and indeed noisy until 4am. Suggest you request a 'quiet room' when booking
