The staff were pleasant and efficient
Far far too much noise, in the halls and from the bars next door. The bedrooms were uncomfortably hot.
location value for money clean and friendly
heating in room was noisy
Near to New Street Station and Bull Ring Shopping Centre
Tiny twin room. Tiny bathroom. Room hot. Heating antiquated and not working properly. Uncomfortable pillows. No vending machines. Non existent variety of crisps, sweets etc to purchase.
Perfect location, clean, staff helpful
Rooms were slightly smaller than expected
The extra money for parking
Very clean and comfortable, easy walk to railway station, town centre, eating places, etc. I also liked being in Chinatown.
Convenient location for New Street Station, Birmingham centre, China Town and Gay Village. Clean and tidy, basic but nothing missing.
A very noisy location but little effort to counter the sound problem. City centres are noisy, but good double glazing and sound insulation are readily available. The building was not designed to cope with guests who are naturally loud or innocently inconsiderate of others. I rarely encounter these problems on the mainland of Europe., but they are all too common in Britain.
All is very good , Location , comfort and cleanliness !
Just would like more milk and tea bags in room to save having to ask for more at Reception !
Locality to theatre , Resterant bars
I know it's over the Arcadian centre but anybody staying on the first floor rooms facing the centre might as well take a glitter ball and dance around the room the noise was terrible.
I usually stay at this hotel every-time I visit Birmingham and never have any issues. It is in a perfect location and usually the staff is very helpful.
This recent visit was not expected since I usually use this hotel. The staff was a bit different and were not as welcoming as what I have been accustomed to with this particular location. The housekeeping staff member was very rude and pushed her way in front of me and my kids to jump on the elevator first when we were trying to check in from the garage area. Another housekeeper tried to tell her that it was not right for her to do that because guest should go first and she basically said its okay to the other housekeeper and walked off. Even after being corrected I felt she was very rude to the other staff member who was simply reminding her that is not how they are trained.
Hotel is in a great location, really clean and nicely decorated! Staff are always really friendly, i try to always stay here in birmingham if i can!
Nothin, i have no complaints about my stay at all!
Good reasonably priced place to stay in Birmingham centre. Very close to new Street Station and restaurants. Helpful friendly staff.
Quite noisy on Friday nights
Location was good, staff fine, hotel fine
Even though we asked for (and I believe were given) a 'quiet room', there was very load disco music until late at night.
From arrival to leaving the staff couldn't do enough for you. Very friendly. Lovely clean room and the bed was so comfortable. Ask for a quiet room as it is located near arcadia which has numerous bars and a club which could get noisy. Great for all ages and close to the bullring.
Very nice staff
Room and bathroom small. Parking is £10 on top of the room rate.
Great location for New Street station and in the centre of Chinatown so loads of restaurants and a wetherspoons around the corner for the budget conscious. Surprisingly quiet hotel with clean, smallish rooms but everything required for a short stay. Only slight quibble was that, for me, the bed was on the firm side, although it wasn't a massive issue.
Bed was slightly too firm for my liking.
Easy walk to everything in the centre. Good sized comfortable room. Free night parking over the ring road near the Ibis Budget - 10 minutes walk. Would stay again.
Very feeble shower.
helpful, friendly and cheerful staff.
Please build your hotels with proper sound insulation. I did not have a great night's sleep.
Noisy if your staying at the front of hotel.
My room was clean and tidy. It was in a quiet part of the hotel. Good selection of food at breakfast time.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.. only thing I would like to mention is; the price for breakfast is a bit expensive and it had gone up since my last stay.
Everything except the breakfast
The breakfast. It was a bit of a let down compared to Premier Inns. There was insufficient variety and quality of food. For example. only scrambled eggs and no facility for asking for poached or fired.
Very good in general and enjoyed my stay. Able to get drinks when we returned to the hotel quite late.
Did not know until I got to reception how to get to the car park. Then to avoid going round the block and possibly getting lost in the one way system I had to back from the layby to get to the entrance of the car park. Also it took me a while to realise that only one of the two lifts went down to the basement for car park.
The stuff was extremely helpful and the rooms were very clean and well preserved.
