One of the comfiest hotel beds I have ever slept on
Not the hotel's fault, but annoyingly the room next door had their TV on quite loudly all night. Woke me up quite regularly, knocks on the door and wall went unanswered. My early rise and shower seemed to shake of the occupants apathy...
staff very helpful & friendly, excellent service. Location good not too far from centre. Cleanliness & food excellent.
Only one disappointment, nightclub next door unable to sleep due to the noise levels.
Cleanliness and the comfortable bed. Also the room was well sound proofed. Hotel was very convenient to the main attractions of Birmingham City Centre.
Staff could have been a little more attentive. The kettle leaked.
unable to connect to free wi fi during stay despite a number of attempts. was on the 4th floor
Poor parking, no English speaking staff, very basic room for cost, harrassing chamber maids.
The members of staff were helpful and attentive. The reception area was very impressive
We had two rooms on the third floor over looking , what we found out later in the morning was a selection of nightclubs. Needless to say this The music went on till at least 03:30 in the morning. The few hours we were able to sleep were not exceptable. I would recommend anyone to check the location of their room, especially as you are requested to pay for the room at the check in stage.
Clean, friendly staff. Location
Eating area not very private Noisy until 5am from nightclub
location nice quiet room staff very helpful even when they were clearly busy clean room and nice bed
coffee in restaurant
The hotel was in a great location,it was very clean, but very noisy.
The pillows were hard, very small single beds but comfortable. The shower needs attention urgently no power behind them at all, trickling out, bathroom small.
Location great for shops and New Street train station.Good Service from hotel staff.
Noise at night from night clubs beside hotel.
Room was dirty, wet towels in room on arrival - can only assume these were left my previous guests!! Noisey guests - who were arguing in the corridor during the night. Also very close to a night club the noise of which can be heard in bedroom.
Convenient to main rail station and Bull Ring Centre. Mid of Chinatown.
Location was excellent just round the corner from the Hippodrome
Only 1 member of staff on serving at bar an reception late at night, but she was very efficient and helpful so it wasn't a problem.
SECURITY ON THE DOOR AT NIGHT
LACK OF HELP IN PROVIDING DIETRY REQUIREMENTS...WAS TOLD TO GO TO LOCAL TESCO AND PROVIDE MY OWN NOISE OUTSIDE ROOM
Pillow was nice...
Night club right below the hotel. Loud base music till 4am. No warning of any noise issues. Staff on reception desk where not welcoming at all. Wasn't informed on how to use the key card lift. When I complanined in the morning on check out staff were rude and blamed me for not complaining at 3am when I couldn't sleep. I will never stay here again. Much prefer service I get at Premer inn.
It was in a good location and Hotel very clean and comfortable. Very close to New St and Bull Ring Shopping centre
Could have done with more sachets or milk in the room !! Had to go to reception to get more !! Also there was only a waste paper bin in the bathroom and could have done with one under the desk in the bedroom !
Excellent value and close to where I needed
Location right near the Bull ring shopping center, 10 min walk from New Street station, good restaurants right near by, great breakfast served till late at the weekends very relaxing cafe lounge area to sit and chat and have coffee. Rooms are good we had a family room which was really big one of the twin rooms was a bit on the small side but still ok and clean. A great stay overall and would go back.
staff extremely helpful and pleasant, central location, clean and tidy, changed our room from double to twin without difficulty, efficent
rooms very small,
The hotel, the room and the location
The breakfast arrangements with frequently faulty coffee machines (over five days) and empty fruit juice dispensers and occasional shortages
Friendliness of staff, though they were obviously overstretched.
Noisy at front of hotel on Saturday night. Scrambled egg at breakfast gets dry after short time and needs re-making.
Good location near China town and shopping.
Room was far too warm while trying to sleep.
The member of staff (Francesca) who checked me in was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of night life in this area and pretty much in the middle of Birmingham's China town. Only 5 or 10 minutes walk from New Street station....comfy bed too.
Not a lot to complain about - but there are probably quieter hotels.
Overall a good, well run place in the heart of Birmingham, right in 'China town', which has plenty to offer for nightlife. Staff were friendly & helpful, wifi was free after all and worked well.
Only one chair and lack of space to sit in the room with more than one person.
