Score from 1327 reviews Very good
a very nice, spacius room, well decorated, a far cry from the rooms 10 - 15 years ago, thank you
its a long and difficult walk from the train station to the IBIS Hootel, walking through building sites, an alternative coffe shops without any signs, no info , nobody seems to know where it is.
Room and facilities very good.
Location was not central enough.
Facilities were good, everything we needed for a couple of nights away. Staff very helpful. Would stay there again.
Location was further away from city than I thought but near the train station so you have to decide what is your priority. We used taxi's to get into town at night although between 4 people that didn't cost much.
Close to rail station
Checked into room 415 only to find strong smell of cigarette smoke and a blue plastic bag covering the smoke alarm reception apologised and movede to room 413, my concern is that the room haas obviously been serviced and the most obvious missed or worst ignored.
good price and quality
Pre payment, easy stay, option to not pay for breakfast (didn't plan to have breakfast)
Location in a part of town that is undergoing renovation so had some boarded up building sites on the walk there.
This hotel has everything you need, and the location is very close to Temple Meads train station (5 min) and quite close to the city center (about 15 min by foot). The girls in the reception was super nice and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Hotel is very near to railway so light-sleepers might find difficulties to fall asleep. And my room wasn't cleaned during my stay. I was staying for 2 nights only so I've decided not to complain but still it's not appropriate when the price for the hotel wasn't too small.
the price, comfort and cleanliness
Pretty much everything!! Ibis and bristol was good!!defintely come a gain!!
Only one thing I could find fault with is the food!! Not good! Would not recommend eating in!!!
Very close to station. Comfy bed.Spacious room. Great bathroom. Free wifi.
That taxis cannot pick you up outside the hotel, not much fun in the rain. As it was raining, we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Big mistake! After waiting an hour we asked where our meal was and were told it was the chef's first night and our meal would be out shortly. After another 15 mins it duly arrived minus one of the side dishes we ordered. Most of the other customers around us were also having a long wait for their meals or were not getting what they ordered and a few refused to pay. Thank goodness we had 2 young men at the next table who kept us entertained.
If travelling by train, the location is a key feature as it's a short walk from Temple Meads Railway Station. Rooms are compact but well designed and are more suitable for a short stay. A good budget choice. The reception staff were very charming and friendly.
The soap dispenser fell off the bathroom wall in the middle of the night. It had previously been glued on.
It was in an area where I cold actually park! Bristol is a very congested city.
The breakfast counters were quite small and the staff member had trouble keeping up with demand.
it was lovely and clean comfortable and location
Ideal for us as we were on the move. We could not fault anything. Staff great. Good bed-rooms. Value for money. Will be back. Thank you.
There was a receptionist, who was able to find our booking straight away. Room was air conditioned, beds were comfortable, travelling with my son who didn't want to sleep right next to me and there was plenty of room to move the beds apart. A short walk from both the station and the city centre.
Although we paid the £7.95 each for breakfast and could have had much more than we did, it seemed a lot of money for what we had. It was pouring with rain so we felt we didn't really want to go looking for breakfast elsewhere. Took us sometime to work out the card lock on the room - a little explanation would have been good.
Room was comfortable and clean. Staff we're very polite and helpful. Breakfast was ok but a little pricey.
Did not like the step up into the en suite, tripped several times. Also I found hotel hard to find when you don't know the area.
Proximity to the railway station and buses. Alfresco food close by.Within walking distance of many interesting places. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
The noise of footsteps from overhead. The considerable noise at 6am from the shower in bathroom situated behind the wall at the head of the bed. The sound from the television was very poor so muffled it could only be understood from a few inches away.
clean, next to Temple Meads station
it is too expensive, not worth the money. I wanted to book a room for 3 people but there were only double rooms so I booked a double room at Ibis for my parents and asked to add a bed for me (I had to stay only 1 night) and offered to pay as an additional single room. They said it was not possible so I was going to book another hotel. I waited a couple of weeks and finally found a single room for me at Ibis at the crazy price of £ 88 breakfast excluded (I mean I was in Bristol, in October, and my window faced a train station not the Tour Eiffel) When we arrived at the hotel both rooms had a double bed plus a third bed!!! Definitely not going back there!
Close to station Excellent response to problem
Lack of tea and milk in room Bed very small
Hotel wss within a 5 minute walk of the shopping arcade and only 10 minutes from the harbourside where all the major nite life is located Will definitely stay here again
Good location. You know what to expect from Ibis- it does what it says!
Cheeky £2 charge to store bags after room checkout time.
spotlessly clean and comfortable bed
I had booked to go to the Hippodrome in the evening, although the website showed location was close it was a £9.80 taxi ride around the one way system and a similar price coming back which made it an expensive option - I should have chosen the other Ibis. Don't book this one if you intend to spend your time down by the dock area.
Shampoo, conditioner, soap all in one. Not working!
Central location. Modern and clean.
Would prefer carpet on bedroom floor rather than hard laminate flooring!
good bed, close to city centre,
Location in building site, noisy, poor parking( yet loads of potential space). Quite expensive compared to other better hotels in Bristol
