Clean rooms friendly staff and value for money well done
Cleanliness, bed comfort, friendly staff, good shower. Close to main road so easy to get going again inthe morning.
No kettle in the room. Drinks machine in reception had metallic taste. Car park entrance needs resurfacing.
nolthing, it's fine
convenient location - just off motorway, close to town centre. Excellent sound proofing from motorway.
very small rooms but at that price, understandable
Abscence of soap, kettle and tea bags
The price. Bed was comfortable and the bed linen was clean although the carpet was a bit sad and grubby around bed posts. The towel was surprisingly and pleasantly soft.
Room smelt stale so I had to open the window and then all I could hear was the motorway traffic. Decor very spartan. The room was a family room (with a bunk straddling the double bed) which if you are a sole traveller seems a bit unnecessary.
I know the hotel so feel comfortable there
As a major rugby match was on that weekend in Cardiff the rooms were quite expensive compared to normal
This is a budget price hotel and offers few facilities in the room but all I needed was a bed for the night - which is what I got.
Lack of tea & coffee making facilities and only snacks available to buy in reception. The only toiletries was one bar of soap for shower and handbasin.
No kettle; worthless TV; airplane-sized toilet room (WC). Very budget facilities at a not so budget price.
Excellent facilities for the money. Clean and comfortable, rooms had everything you need for a short stay. Shower was excellent and everything clean, staff were really friendly. Snacks and drinks available 24 hours and breakfast looked great, although we didn't stay for it. Would stay at an ibis budget again.
Staff were friendly. Good location, just off motorway.
No kettle, coffee or tea in room. Shower and toilet extremely small. Room way too hot and couldn't sleep when opened window due to traffic noise. Bed was like sleeping on concrete.
no tea and coffee facilities in room
This hotel had really good staff who understood the needs of its customers
Excellent base for the rugby at the Millennium Stadium for a fraction of the cost of the hotels in Cardiff - good value for taxis into Cardiff. Basic but everything you need, staff were friendly and helpful.
Could have done with tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the room was a bit stuffy.
Bed extremely uncomfortable. If the bed had been acceptable, it would have made the place good for money, but it is pointless being an inexpensive place to stay overnight if the bed is so uncomfortable that one can't sleep!
Excellent value, No frills but everything you need. Very easy to find, right on the Motorway Junction. Lobby phone for the taxi which arrived promptly.
£5 taxi ride from Newport centre/rail station - but we knew that when we booked.
Cheap to stay but very good.
Cleanliness. Value for money.
No coffee in room. Not updated as per other ibis budget hotels.
Excellent location. The local Lyceum Tavern was in easy walking distance and served excellent food and real ale. Will stop again when in South Wales.
Having to walk all the way round to the (Front) door after 9 pm. I struggle to walk and the lack of a pass key for the (Back) door or a side gate in the rear fencing was not good The bed was far too hard.
staff, water pressure, free wi-fi, warm room.
Noisy - virtually on the M4 and my room was one of the furthest away! No kettle, fixed shower, v.v small loo, dicey lift, hard overfilled pillows, cheap carpet tiled floor, bedside light much too bright.
Good hotel for a night stay. Tea serving was expensive though.
When you pay £19 per night for a hotel room, you shouldn't expect too much, but was very surprised and happy with our 3 night stay, the rooms are basic, but spotlessly clean the shower is great and the bed is comfortable and there is aircon in the room so really what more do you want for a budget hotel would highly recommend and would stay again when working in the area well done guys
nothing to say here
Friendly efficient staff. Basic but with all the bare essentials. Functional, clean and comfortable.
Shower not used as very compact.
