Score from 1378 reviews Very good
Very good location, simple clean rooms that suited our stay. Staff very helpful. Excellent price.
Not a lot.
Good location - within walking distance of the Mayflower and shopping.
The double bed was ridiculously uncomfortable. The bunk bed was simply dangerous with no handles in order to climb up and down. I asked for an extra pillow and got told there was none available. The floor in the room was dirty, the window let every bit of traffic noise in. Unfortunately will not be staying again.
Clean rooms, good cheerful and helpful staff
Nothing, you get what you pay for
Very central position, near to shops, station and restaurants. The accommodation is very basic but also very reasonable in price.Staff friendly and helpful.
We stayed there for our daughters graduation as had an early start,we basically needed a bed for the night and somewhere to get ready, the triple room was very small for 3 adults and as no proper bathroom no real area of privacy
Location was good Furnishing was modern
Worst wifi I have ever come across Did not know I had to pay £6 for parking Lack of plug points next to bed
Free Wifi, decent breakfast (only continental though)
The Shower had only 2 settings burn your skin off or freeze it off. The bed was uncomfortable; overly firm. The two things that I expected to be spot on for a budget hotel were all wrong!
Staff where very good. .
The bed , the bed. The bed was so bad hard as a broad . We did not sleep
Very polite and helpful staff. Clean room.
Very compact,but can't fault it!
I liked the fact that we were allowed to check in early (around 10 am) and check in was very smooth. The location of the hotel was good - very close to the train station and to West Quay, close to bars/restaurants etc. (and about 100m from a McDonalds which was handy for a late night snack!). The room was small but very clean and was adequate for our needs - we only needed a place to sleep for a couple of nights for a shopping trip. Staff were professional and friendly enough.
I didn't like the bathroom setup - the toilet and shower were in what were essentially cupboards and then the sink was in the main room. The room was also very green! For somewhere to sleep for one/two nights it's fine and good value for money but I wouldn't recommend it for longer stays or a romantic trip.
Comfortable bed Price
very small room for 3 work colleagues to share. Shower screen almost see through which is not ideal when sharing with friends. Family or couple would be okay but not 3 people who do not know each other that well
Not a lot, high noise level from outside and the bed as hard as a board . I shall not not be using this hotel again!
Room thermostat not ajustable, room far too hot!, TV remote control not working, the toilet seat practically falling off and dangerous.
the location, value for money, staff helpful. Will stay again.
no facilities in room to make a hot drink. Very hard bed.
Modern rooms with tv
No proper bathroom
Location and cleanliness
Bed was terrible
staying at the ibis was good staff where exellent.
the bed was clean but very uncomfortable but for one night it was ok but if stayed longer would have liked something abit more comfortable but overall it was very good.
The Cost. It was clean and warm
The road noise and noise from the dock across the road which was all night working. The mattress was firm/hard.
Staff very pleasant on arrival and departure
There was nothing we could dislike
bed hard very uncomfortable
close to town
facilities to basic, wouldn't stay again
Close to all the shops staff were very friendly
The beds were so uncomfortable
The room was comfortable and just had the basics for what you need. Staff were really nice and helpful. Excellent location for train station and centre of Southampton.
Some traffic noise but it's in the centre so to be expected! Couldn't connect to the WiFi.
The Staff Were Friendly and Helpfull, The Hotel Was Lovely and Clean, Our Room Was Great, Defo Worth The Money. Me and My Husband Will Be Going Back Again!
The Bed Wasn't Very Comfy, I Have Hip and Knee Problems and Woke Up In A lot Of Pain, The Wifi Didn't Work For Me Either, Other Than That It Was Great!
- Insufficient heating. Woke up cold on two occasions during the night. No additional blankets. - Noisy room - constant traffic (no triple glazing)
2 minute walk from the train station, everything needed was a stones throw away. Nice clean room, great stop over.
Shower cubicle opens onto room so can't really have a shower with someone else in the room with you.
