It was located at the city centre which was ideal for my trip. The first room they have us was not ideal. The second room was thinking. I think the carpet or something but it had that stench once you got in. The final room had dirty towels. For goodness sake we found blood and mucus on the towels before they changed it. Utterly disappointed. Will never revisit.

The food in the hotel is just waste of money, especially the mashed potato (about 2 days old)!!! Our room was on the rail side which was extremely noisy :(

I've been going to ibis Cardiff regularly for over a year. It is convenient to the station and city centre. It is clean and has all neeeded for a 2 night stay. It is not luxurious. Some rooms are a little past their best. Beihg city centre means some road noise on one side and rail (which I find more disturbing) on the other.

local pubs and food when we reached the hotel we were given a disability room which looked like a prison cell I got us moved immediately to a better room but still not the standard we expected from the photo's on the internet so would not recommend

Friendly/helpful reception staff. Location. Rooms were not quiet need better doors to keep sound out then u wudnt be disturbed all the time. Chamber maids coming in the room despite do not disturb sign & shouting down the corridors.

This was our third visit, staying in the IBIS. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We had a little wait until our room was available but that gave us time to have some lunch and relax.The reason for our trip was for my father's 65th birthday and we were given 2 free drinks vouchers which was a lovely gesture. Would recommend this hotel as we used it as a base to shop, visit the bay and have a birthday meal out and will book again for my next weekend visit to Cardiff. Nothing to report - hotel and staff made our stay very pleasant.

great location, good value for money, front of house staff excellent, very helpful and friendly. breakfast plates very small, maids need to smile more as they are the face of the hotel as much as any other staff, saw 4 on morning we left, all were long faced and 2 sat round drinking tea/coffee, having stayed at the hotel a number of times im sure this was a one off......

The hotel is located not far from both train station and city centre. The room is clean. The price is reasonable. We were given the no.188 room which is next to the elevator and a bit noisy. If a hotel want to use the space next to a elevator to be a guest room, I suggest them to check the sound proof. The price of hotel is good. But be aware that you may, like us, meet large group of coach travelling young people. It is not the hotel's fault, but the mid-night drunk yelling is not very pleasant for other guests.
