THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT NOTHING WAS TO MUCH TROUBLE THE ROOMS WERE VERY CLEAN AND VERY COMFORTABLE THE FOOD AND DRINKS IN THE BAR AND RESTAURANT WERE VERY REASONABLE ALL IN ALL A FIRST CLASS HOTEL
THE UPHILL JOURNEY TO HOTEL FROM THE TRAIN STATION
The Shower. It was a very good hotel and we enjoyed it and would return.
The twin beds were a little on the small side.
No complaints or concerns at all. Great hotel and staff, extremely helpful and accommodating.
Nothing I didn't like.
Lovely room. Warm and spotless. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
+Sweet sweet extra comfy bed +Brand new and very clean hotel +Spacious room!! +Nespresso machine available at the reception for a quick complimentary coffee (not during normal breakfast hours though) +Extremely helpful and polite staff-Elina from reception ever so friendly and enthusiastic!! +Easy to walk from Waverley station and to the Royal mile..Really close to the University and the Royal College of Surgeons as well!! Will definitely stay again!
-The hotel did not have my reservation details and I had to wait until the manager was called in order to rectify the situation..they obviously apologized and booked me into a room very quickly as there still vacancies..I simply wonder what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked at the time? -The hotel offers two options for WIFI. The free option is good enough for some basic browsing, if you need a speedy connection esp for watching videos you have to upgrade (pay extra) for that connection
Breakfast services option late relaxed modern and good value for money
Towels were not not very big and only 2 so you cant use for hair ,heating was on digit timer so fan would kick middle of night and to complicated to change setting.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room is comfortable, clean and warm with a great shower. Central location with good coffee shops around. Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero and other independent brands all within a block of the front door.
Allocated NCP car park is quite a walk through the maze like streets and the street outside is pretty dirty (Obviously not the hotels fault). Edinburgh coucil need to get their finger out.
We were able to check in early on day of arrival. Also left our bags there for a few hours after we checked out as our flight was in the evening. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Room was spotless, shower excellent. Thank you.
Location. Staff were very efficient when I asked for an extension lead for medical equipment, it was delivered within 5 minutes.
Lack of heating in the room. Tried to adjust the temperature of the a/c unit to get some warmth but it made no difference.
Location and cleanses
Towel with not nice smell
Nice sized room bed was firm maybe to firm for some people . we had a great sleep until other guests from other rooms woke us up with there shouting and running along corridor . Not the fault of hotel just inconsiderate people only interested in making as much noise as possible.
Wifi could be better ie it could have worked apart from that everything was fine
Nice hotel ...convenient location for attractions ..cleanliness. .near by restaurants..Mosque ...
Nothing as such
Breakfast was very good
The room did not have a UK plug socket. The lamp had a South African plug and socket so I cold not plug in to charge my phone or plug the kettle in.
Location was fantastic and very close to Royal Mile. I liked that you could make yourself an nespresso in the lobby. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is near the city centre, bus stops and markets. The staff is cheerful and very helpful.
There is a strange smell on towels. We couldn't figure out why. The air-conditioner isn't enough for that big room. Wi-fi connection is problematic, it is slow.
staff was very very nice, they were very helpful and really nice talking. cleanness and decoration were very nice too. the best place in the hotel was the place that I took breakfast in. cool and nice. place of the hotel was the best too.
At the night while sleeping with closed windows, there were no enough ventilation which give comfort sleeping. I sweated during sleeping with no heater available in the room. in addition, bed was very bad, not comfortable.
The location, the helpful girl at the reception, the clean room and bathroom
The cost benefit. 114 £ for Saturday and 45£ for Sunday...
I thought the rooms were clean and modern. Nice for a short stay in a busy city.
The only down side was we could not get a signal on our mobiles
Friendliness of staff. Quiet room Comfy bed TV that switches on with one press of remote - well done
Heating by blower, room was cool on arrival and despite instruction card, the fan settings took a bit of working out, to get the room warm.
Comfortable and clean room with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
Access to public car park. It would be useful if the website showed the preferred route
Good central location, pleasant staff, comfortable room, good hanging/storage space
Cold room on arrival, poor heating controls, extractor fan in bathroom not working, other guests allowing doors to bang, very crowded breakfast room so I went out.
