Good location, beds are fantastic and staff really friendly.
Good location and nice staff.
It was all ok.
It's a great location and the beds etc are what you would expect from a good chain of value hotels.
Some rooms have no sound insulation so you will hear *everything* in surrounding rooms and halls. No problem if you just want budget sleep but not a private or romantic place to be!
Location Breakfast was excellent Lifts Good size room
No toilet seat lid
Location is great, just off the Royal Mile. We took the express bus from the airport and it was an easy 10 minute walk up Cockburn. Staff was helpful. Close to loto of restaurants and pubs too. Loved the wine bar and Mexican place on Cockburn. Lots of hot water and excellent water pressure in the shower.
Beware of the shower! It's 6 inches off the ground.
Excellent staff (particularly gentlemen at check out/in), very comfy bed, very clean room, fantastic location, good value.
Wifi reception very poor on 5th floor, didn't actually work at all until was closer to reception.
Staff friendly and helpful. Right in the centre of the old town.
Great location, lovely clean rooms, everything you need to have a good night rest and wake up in a good mood! Will def. go back when retutn to Edimburgh
- Location is in the heart of Edinburgh, easily walk-able to all locations we needed - Good price compared to other places - Clean room with everything we needed - 5 minutes from train station - Free WiFi
- Room is small but was not really an issue for us - Food offered seemed limited and expensive. - Some reviews mention noise from outside and this is understandable as the hotel is next to 2-3 pubs! This was not an issue for us however as we were in a room to the rear of the hotel.
Being central to the shops and pubs
Great location, close to many of the tourist attractions and shopping. Comfy bed; despite a bit of street noise we slept very well. Reception / bar area nice for a quiet evening drink away from the crowds. Breakfast ok but no daily variety so could get boring on a long stay.
Despite being very cold outside the room heating had been turned off and the window was left open on our second day which made it a bit chilly. Wifi connection very unreliable.
Staff very friendly and helpful, location was excellent. The breakfast was OK for the price.
Beds to small, bathroom cramped. Although 2star a little expensive for one person.
The location is perfect. I will definitely come back to IBIS for the next visit to Edinburgh.
The door key wasn't good . I always had the problem everytime I wanted to get in to the room.
Location Comfortable Bed
Price Room felt clostrophobic as window looked out onto a brick wall so no light
comfy bed all you need, no extra towels to waste
location for restaurants friendly staff good value breakfast
Bed was comfy, quiet room & peaceful hotel, nice breakfast
Location, staff, cleaness, ....everything!
Everything, apart from paying for the breakfast. I feel the money we paid £295 for 3 nights should have included breakfast. Other couples staying same amount of days we on better deals.
After speaking to other couples in the same hotel, they were on a a better deal than us, they paid slightly less, but their priced included breakfast. I feel we were cheated. Next time we go to Edinburgh, I will certainly look around and not jump straight in.
location was great, the stuff was great, breakfast was very nice
small single beds, only one towel, something in the room was affecting my allergy and i had asthma crisis once inside the room, maybe it was the carper or the bed covers/pillows
Fantastic location! Room was a fair size, nice and clean with a wonderful shower. Housekeeping staff were lovely and friendly also.
Was on the sixth floor and i found it rather cold.
room cleanliness and location,
Helpful and Friendly Staff Great Location Good Breakfast and reasonable price
No Gym / fitness center No refrigerator in the room
Very friendly & attentive 10 out of 10 form the staff
Rooms to plain no comfort very minimilistick
Location is central to everything in Edinburgh City. Clean rooms although basic budget quality still quite new looking.
Breakfast plates are the size of side plates need a larger size. Wifi really slow.
