Right next to the castle which was excellent. The room was very basic and needed decorated. The bed was a piece of wood with a mattress on it a 2 very thin pillows. The shower room was tatty and in need of repair. We had booked this because it stated they had parking.. They don't it's an ncp car park quite a bit away from the hotel which you are charged £20 to use. Back of the door had a poster stating rooms mid week were £63 but we had paid £129... bit of a difference.

The staff were helpful and friendly but far tooo busy with reception bar and food to deal with!!! The location was great, the breakfast was good. Matress and pillows toooo thin!! was put off asking reception staff for drinks etc as they were so busy!! unfairly busy!! Thought the hotel could have been a little cleaner and not sooo budget as we paid a increased price due to it being tattoo time in edinburgh. Hate the fact that rates are increased during these times so soddam and gommorah!! greedy and we did not receive anything extra......

Desk register staff excellent, I had informed the hour of my late arrival and immediately the person welcome me. Excellent location in Edindburgh down town, near the Railway Station, the Airport Bus and the historic quarter. Connexion to the mobile phone networks unstable.

Just the location. This place is budget and cheap through and through. Not a place for a relaxing stay. There are many other places off the Royal Mile for near the same price that offer far better quality and service.

First got a room with twin beds, tucked away in the old building. Moved to a much bigger room after seeing the double room beds.

“The hotel was really nice. The location was excellent. The Reception staff were very welcoming and the staff in general were courteous, friendly and exceedingly helpful.
