Facilities suitable for a central city hotel, with helpful staff who were very efficient.
Nothing but only stayed for one night.
Location, you are right in the thick of it. Good security.
Can be noisy at night because of the location . Needed to pay extra to upgrade the wifi.
This hotel is in an exceptional location for the city centre of Edinburgh. The room although very basic was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was self service and good value for money. The décor in reception and restaurant/bar area is very upmarket and tasteful.
You are paying the price for the location of this hotel as it is a Budget Hotel but not Budget prices
The location was excellent and the room perfectly acceptable.
We could have stayed at a boutique hotel along the road for the same price and had a better experience in terms of room size, decor, provision of towels and toiletries (we have stayed there previously).
Situated about halfway between top and bottom of Royal Mile, so ideally placed for sightseeing/eating/booking tours etc. Very helpful staff.
Breakfast very over-priced, but there are plenty of cafes round about.
Such great value for money
A little noisy at nigh, there is a pub next to the hotel.
This hotel is ideally located for the Royal Mile as it literally a stone's throw away. The Royal Mile at night is a lively place so this does mean that it can be a little noisy at night but the with the windows shut you can't hear very much The hotel is very modern and clean. It is a corporate hotel but you have everything you need in the room and the bed is really comfy. There is plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet and the food was hot which isn't always the case with buffets. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Great location if you want to stay in the old part of town. Breakfast is good, the hot meals are not cooked nicely but for the price it is not that bad. Staff is quite nice.
It's old, no fridge (quite bad when you travel with an infant), horrible bed, no bath and the bathroom is very very small, the carpets in the room is way too old and looks filthy. The bar is too expensive for an Ibis hotel.
Everything was so close. Stuff were great and very helpful. Rooms were very clean.
WiFi was very poor if u wanted better u have to pay..
Street performers on our door step, added flavour to the venue
The bad cobbles immediately outside, the council can afford to make an improvement, dangerous. Health & Safety issur
Location was everything you could ask for. Room was spacious.
Walls were quite thin, we could hear the TV in the room next door and we could hear people laughing from another room. Breakfast was average, definitely not worth the money we spent for it.
New Hotel! We were booked into another Ibis round the corner and on arrival we were told that we would have to go to another Ibis not too far away. We couldn't fault the hotel, excellent staff, comfortable room, great facilities.
breakfast £7.50 wifi not working in our 2nd floor room
We wanted to be within walking distance of the Military Tattoo. It is an excellent location within easy reach of many retaurants and other attractions. The facilities are basic but clean and good value considering its location. Suggest you take a taxi from the station if you have any amount of luggage.
Friendly staff, position of hotel with regard to access to the rest of the city.
Noisy area surrounding the hotel. Late night noise until early hours.
The location was excellent and the hotel clean and neat and the staff professional.
Location, location, location
Parking was a 10/15 min walk away and the price was astronomical, but all hotels were.
Perfect location for tourists to everywhere in Edinbrugh Many cafes and restaurants in walking distance Very helpful and kind staff Nice view Nice beds Nice shower
Noisy esp.the front rooms because of traffic and people from pubs during the night.Needs more soundproof windows.Better to ask for a back room. Small rooms Only one towel per person
Staff were excellent and very helpful.
Nothing in particular
Budget rooms at quality prices
good sleeping central location
wifi dirty floor baggage keeping isn't free
Good size of shower and bed
a small room for that money
