Didnt like anything about Ibis, the security staff were very unpleasant to my boyfriend, wouldn't let him in as he didnt have the swipe card on him as I had already gone to the room (I left him outside speaking to his friends which security clearly saw). Didnt believe he had a room there even though he gave all my details (as the room was in my name) they hit him in the face which was unprovoked, told him to leave and they wernt going to let him in!! Hotel manager let herself into my room, also the cleaner let herself in whilst I was asleep. Overall, very ignorant and unfriendly people, I will not be staying here again! I payed for a friendly & safe place to stay and I got none of this instead I felt unsafe in my own room and intimidated by the security staff!

if you want a quiet hotel dont choose this one as they take a lot of hen and stag partys and you will not get a good nights sleep aslso the staff are not very welcoming and freindly. beware all the little extras you will be charged for which they dont tell you about on the booking form when you book. this hotel is like the ryanair of hotels

Room was tidy, clean and spacious. Good value for the money. The adjacent hotel (Hotel Formule 1) was cheaper and may be recommended for budget travelers. This one's price was OK. Though the check-in time was 1200 hrs, the staff mentioned that check-out time is also 1200 hrs and they made me to wait until 1330 hrs. This was frustrating after a very long journey. No Wifi- access is charged and costly.

Its a good located Hotel. Lots of hen/stag parties while we were there which didn't bother us but may some. Also we thought we were in a smoking room - there weren't any visable no-smoking signs so I had a cig by the window when we returned late Saturday night. A member of staff shouted up at me (1am!!) demanding my room number - he then knocked on the door and complete with bouncer demanded £90 cash or we had to leave immediately. It didn't help he was French. After explaining there were no signs in the room and I put it out immediately after being asked to he petulantly left stating the manager would be speking to us in the morning. I think he was attempting to scam cash out if us. Not a very nice experience.

Great location, nice room with clean with good facilities which includes a car park which is only £3 a day. The walls are very thin, we got asked to turn our tv down by the manager, when it wasnt even on full volume. We were visiting liverpool to see friends of ours,we invited them back to our room for a night cap, this caused major issues as the hotel security wouldnt let us take people back to our room, it felt like we were on a school trip.

Good value for money, very clean and great breakfast in the morning. Only complaint.. stayed on the ground floor and was a bit noisy early hours as a result of rowdy guests! Would visit again.

Our stay at the Hotel was marred by 2 sleepless nights caused by a group of men drunk from 3.30am until 5am, we complained to the desk staff who said would speak to them but it happened again the next night, surely not all hotel guests are there to get drunk and cause mayhem, but it seems to me that the Ibis on a weekend should be avoided at all costs if guests need to be able to sleep. We would only recommend this hotel for wek day stays

The friendliness and obliging nature of the stadd The room felt flimsy and wasn't as clean as it should have been, the amenities were not in the right place to allow them to be plugged in. The television wasn't tuned. The bathroom dispenser was broken. The rooms felt tinny and claustrophobic. The hotel is very dated. Could have gotten more for my money elsewhere.

Staff are friendly and helpful, and for the price it pleasantly exceeds your expectation in an overall sense. The food that is available does the job and again is decent pricewise and overall. Convienience to shops and city centre is good. The rooms could maybe improve a small bit, better beds or decor but its not bad overall

Pretty much what you expect from Ibis, decent comfort in a no-frills setting. Lady at desk seemed a little concerned that a "nice young couple" were staying and warned us that drunken guests might knock on our door accidentally at night :) The hotel seemed to attract a lot of stag/hen parties. Nothing particularly wrong with that, lots of broken bottles etc outside though
