Breakfast and location
The bathroom (and shower pressure) could be better.
Lovely modern building with well thought-out details to get the most out of the space. The reception and bar areas were attractive and inviting. Excellent quality at a very reasonable price.
Struggling to find a negative, but if the hotel was a little nearer to the Southbank....
Easy book in, good location
The bathrooms are 'pods' you can hear your neighbours showering and flushing the toilets through the micro thin walls
Good position.A lovely modern hotel, attended by excellent, young and friendly staff. Why can't more hotels be like this. I cannot fault my stay in any way. Definitely be back!!
Not one thing to complain about.
The check in and receptionist was welcoming, and very helpful when I asked for a quiet room - the hotel is on one of London's busiest roads day and night - and offered me a special Ibis loyalty card for a 40% reduction but next time I book.
The twin -bedded room was very basic with bare white walls, a shower and toilet that is a sort of modular unit built into the spartan room. A laminate wood floor with no carpet or rug, and generally reminiscent of student accomodation at university. At £197 per night this was not value for money - no wonder they were offering 40% off my next stay. The same type of accomodation in other Ibis hotels outside of London is about £100 per night cheaper. There is also much better value available around Southwark.
Location, clean rooms, quite cheap comparing London prices
Cant think of anything but wi-fi could be better if I must say something
Central location on South Bank. Super Easy underground access. Touch screen in lobby very helpful.
Free wifi woefully slow. Paid for premium upgrade at £3 a day but code works for one device. No fan in Bathroom.
So central - just a short walk from many attractions. Staff are friendly, everyone very professional, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone!
Close to Southwark Station. Excellent view from 13th floor enhanced by very clean window. Clean, spacious room and nice shower room.
Great location close to numerous attractions on the Southwark side of the river. Pretty much in the tube station great locality. Requested view room and didn't dissapont. Breakfast very good value, saves wasting time looking for somewhere before starting the day. Staff helpful no complaints. Recommend.
They were happy to let us check in early and very friendly to the guests .
No slippers were provided.
Near the Tube, quiet and clean.
Great shower but how about ONE shelf.
very clean hotel with good facilities for the price you pay
staff were rude when we asked for some toothpaste in the room, booked late checkout and were almost charged for missing checkout until I showed confirmation on my phone
Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was great every morning
- nice and clean hotel close to city center (you can reach London Eye and other sightseeing points by foot), very close to underground, easy to find - nice staff at the reception but sometimes it seemed that they pay more attention to their computer than to the guests, but no big compliants about it, just remark - breakfast charged extra, but was worth the money, mostly English breakfast but there was also fruit salad, fresh fruit, yoghurts and musli, croissants, etc. - food in their restaurant was also good - as alwyas in IBIS no fridge/minibar in the room - free WIFI, did not use very much but seemed to be of a good quality
- no heating system, just air conditioning with hot air, after returning to the room it took some time until it was warm there
Great location clean rooms
The bathrooms are very basic but functional and clean Pillows are awful like bricks and so uncomfortable!
Very comfortable bed and all that you really need for a short stay in London that is not going to break the bank! We'll definitely bear this in mind for our next visit.
Clean room, comfortable.
Rooms 'soundproofed' although I was woken on more than one occasion by a noisy guest.
It's feet away from the Southwark tube station, and walking distance from Westminster bridge, Blackfriars Bridge, London Bridge, and Tower Bridge.
The rooms are small, but again if you are there to just sleep and nothing else it's perfect. The breakfast is a little expensive for what you get. I suggest going out to the local stores and bring back some breakfast items to your room.
The views from the windows. Bed too soft
Excellent, helpful staff. Amelia (night manager) and Flavia (day manager) efficiently changing our first room with noisy fan for a quiet room for the second night. As a goodwill gesture we had the first night free of charge. The rooms were really clean & fresh. All the staff were polite and caring.
Only one criticism - the queue for breakfast was rather long so we nipped around the corner to cafe Nero. Apart from that it was a well-placed, clean hotel and ideal for a couple of days visiting The Festival Hall, London Eye or The Globe Theatre.
Although not centrally located, it's right by Southwark tube station, so easily accessible to most parts of London. The staff is friendly and efficient. Excellent buffet breakfast for under 10 pounds.
The bathroom is a single unit placed within the bedroom. It's not very spacious, the towels are ridiculously small (only 1 per person) and little privacy assured as the door does not go down to the floor!
Great location friendly and helpful staff very good breakfast Very quiet room good night's sleep every night
The hotel was close to both the Old and New Vic theatres and the Southbank. The room was spacious enough and the bathroom was intriguing in its design (a modern pod style space with shower, toilet and sink).
It was quite noising in the evenings with people talking and walking loudly up and down the hallways.
The shower and bed
No decaf tea
