Good value Close to the Wedding venue we were attending Good location
The room had a very strong smell of smoke which was very off-putting. After reporting this to cleaning staff I was provided with some very strong room deodoriser which helped. It appeared that the member of staff had resigned herself to the fact that there was still smoking going on in the rooms.
bed was comfortable...the wet room was excellent but needed a shelf to put shampoo/soap onto while showering TV was good size
car park was a little crowded and the check in was slow due to lack of staff kettle needed to be put on a shelf on top of the spare bed/window ledge which was a little dangerous
I have stayed at three different Ibis Hotels , Dubai, Abijan and London Thurrock and found them to be value for money and I know what standard to expect when I get to the hotel without fail ! Thank you
food, bar, rooms
too many builders
the bed and pillows to hard
Check in and check out was very quick Rooms were comfortable
Availability of staff during breakfast was thin on the ground
Close proximity to many routes Attractive interior
Noise from corridor/other rooms
close to where in needed to go, food a little pricey but very good
not the sort of place to go out after dark !
Room was clean and reasonably comfortable, good value for money.
Evening meal was awful.service poor not a good experience recommend you don't eat there.
Staff were polite and friendly.
Floor in rooms need vacuuming. Hotel next door is awful. People arguing, threatening each other at the top of their voices, smoking and drinking outside until the early morning. Absolutely awful! Personally I was not intimidated but I would never bring my family anywhere near this hotel. Bathroom plumbing needs looking at. Plumbing smells. Food seems to be a hit and miss thing. Gave up trying to figure out what was on offer and where and went out to eat. In all honesty the hotel cleanliness didn't inspire me to trust the food anyway. Cleaners use the customer lifts so you often have to play dodge the smelly mop bucket or dirty laundry basket or miserable cleaner when using the lifts in the morning. One or two cleaners don't seem very hospitable and one was having a loud and seemingly annoyed conversation with reception when I was checking out. Not a great impression. I am working in Thurrock for an extended time but unfortunately I am looking for a better hotel for the rest of my stay. One final point. There is no point offering free wifi when it is clearly too weak to do anything useful. It just seems untruthful to offer a sub standard service to get you to book knowing guests will have to upgrade at a cost when they realise the free wifi is poor.
Fairly quiet even though close to major hubs Looked ok in reception and bar
Some staff were not too eager to help although some where twin beds put together didnt fit so there was a ridge Bit stingy on sugar and NO BISCUITS
Food was very nice, reception was clean, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Lots of builders smoking outside, staff didn't clean up outside.
Handy For Brands Hatch
Rooms are amazing, especially for the value. I wouldn't mind living for a long term in this hotel. Large rooms, lights around the bed, desk, chair and even a soft bench to sit. Modern bathroom.
The location is not the best and one of the hand towel looked quite dirty. There was no shower gel in the shower. Only the empty container.
Staff were extremely helpful
Bathroom had no enough ventilation and it was smelling really bad.
Good price and location and parking. Suited our requirements for an overnight stay.
Very sparse rooms (no pictures). Unusal pod-like bathroom facilities
Size of room Bed comfort Quietness (in spite of being so close to a motorway)
Disgustingly filthy, stained carpet. Female on reception had a horrible manner and was unwelcoming. Think charging £10 a night for dogs is atrocious - defeats the point of booking a budget hotel. £5 maximum, surely? We can get a nicer hotel that doesn't charge at all (roughly same cost as IBIS plus 2 dogs) which is what we will do in the future. Difficult to actually find the hotel and the entrance. We could see it from the motorway but we couldn't get in easily.
Clean friendly great food great price
For a hotel at side of Dartford bridge crossing room was really quiet.
electronic room key failed and had to be reprogrammed.
Ordered a tuna melt thing off the menu, took over half an hour to get served.
Excellent menu. I had an amazing rump steak.
The surrounding area
awful smell in the bathroom of room 203
Wifi Clean Comfortable
Expensive breakfast Had to go to reception to get both rooms reprogrammed for second night No milk left in room
Is quick & easy to check in, friendly staff & clean rooms. Pleasant bar area & given it's close proximity to the m25 is surprisingly quiet!
Have used this hotel several times, the tv's have been upgraded & have lost the radio feature, towels urgently need replacing & have had a maintenance guy try to enter our room on 2 separate occasions now without knocking first or checking with reception to see if the room was in use!
