Wanted a good hotel at a reasonable price as we needed accom for 11 nights, travelling from Australia for family business. The Ibis was exactly what we were looking for very modern and no fuss everything seemed to happen in a low key and professional way. Hard to fault for the money, great central location and cheap parking two streets away. Rooms are not huge but we were out every day so just spent the nights. Front rooms are noisy, book the odd number rooms which are at the back, very quiet.

friendly accommodating staff. good size clean room, and as requested quiet ! late check out time was very welcome after a more than adiquet leasurly breakfast. breakfast was good but at £7.50 each on top of room price ,a little expensive .

Disappointed that we had to report the bathroom door with a loose hinge, causing it to not close properly. The continued forcing of the door to close, loosened the soap/shower gel unit, causing it to fall from the wall, whilst we were in bed. The toilet seat was also loose, which we reported. These faults, were not caused by us, and clearly had been like it for a while, they should have been reported by your daily room staff, and if they had been, should have been sorted, and the room not let, until they were fixed.

Was only staying one night but made to feel welcome by all members of staff I came across. Arrived very early - needed to stow luggage for a few hours - immediate agreement from staff member on the front desk. Same on departure. Advised of hotel facilities and breakfast arrangements without any coercion. All staff neatly dressed and smiling and hotel cleanliness top notch.

Location absolutely ideal for access to both train stations, man city stadium, men arena, shopping, bars, food, galleries etc. Bargain price for clean, modern, basic room. Make sure if you value a long lie-in in the morning to ask for a room with an even number as odd number rooms look on to the busy Portland St and sound proofing of windows not brilliant.
