Score from 513 reviews Very good
nice staff clean and quite room great location.
room a bit warm
Locality to Canal Street. Cleanliness of rooms and good powerful showers
The restaurant food not exactly homely. the menu should be back to homely basics.
My partner and I stayed here for Manchester pride, as canal street was less than five minutes walk. We could not have picked a better base.we will deffo be using this next time we come to Manchester
Staff very freindly and helpful breakfast well worth money
The position is good. The staff is friendly, nice and helpful. The room is specious
I have stayed in the hotel for 5 days, 3 of which I found the cups not washed up when I came back.
Good location for what we wanted to do, museums etc easily accessible from this hotel just walk a few minutes walk away or just jump on a free metrolink bus and get off where you want.
Location is great - the hotel is in easy walking distance of Piccadilly Gardens and Arndale SC. It was inexpensive. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The pillows ..
Staff is not so good.
Staff were lovely. Happy to please and welcoming. Bed linen & towels were spotless. Room was clean. Hotel conveniently placed to be just outside the hustle as bustle.
Hotel so close to the oxford street station so I could hear the trains all night. My teenage daughters never heard a thing. Kept me awake though. And footsteps and doors closing all night but I suppose that is the norm for hotel stays.
the family room is great and on quiet side of hotel. the staff are so friendly and polite, the shower is the best thing, lots of room and powerful. the bed is large and comfortable. I will be back
bedroom carpet could do with a good clean, stained, would be great if breakfast was served a little later maybe up until 10;30,11:00, and a sign saying to use what doors at set times, also a sign to say use card at lift. other than that nice hotel, and great staff.
The room was very well presented and generally I had an enjoyable stay.
My room was paid for me by a friend and as he was not there when I booked in this caused some confusion. This wasn't very welcoming and whilst I can understand to a degree the security issues on on-line bookings I do think greater flexibility is necessary.
Good location. Just a minue around the corner from Canal street and a few more to Picadilly.
Thin walls - Very close to lively pubs and clubs but unfortunately the soundproofing was poor. Not a good night's sleep.
the staff were very polite and efficient, the situation of the hotel was very good for girls in high heels, nice and clean, and very secure due to very good security staff we felt very safe.
The staff were helpful, switching my room from a twin to a double when it transpired the other guest would not be joining me.
Although the impression was this hotel was located in less busy area of Manchester City Centre it was still very noisy. Not so "off the beaten track".
Staff efficient, location convenient, hotel facilities basic but good for a value hotel. Bed comfortable, shower room clean and efficient. Short walk from the railway station.
Close to the university and Canal Street which is fine but the fall out can be noise from 'party people.' Take earplugs just in case, should quickly pass. The wifi can be difficult to access. A sudden return of football supporters and multiple use was blamed when I questioned why. That means it won't work if the hotel is full doesn't it?
Staff were kind and helpful, Bed was excellent and so was the shower. tv with freeview and free wifi
Prices at the bar. noise from other people.
Helpful staff Comfortable bed Free wifi Great bathroom pods
Only two tea bags! We went and bought our own to supplement!
Comfortable bed / mattress No frills, but efficient use of bedroom space with well designed toilet/shower area
Carpet in bedroom, with prominent stain
Helpful staff, very comfortable bed, fast wireless, good breakfast, convenient for Manchester city centre and close to Oxford Road station.
Worth asking for a quiet room at the back if noise disturbs you as the front of the hotel can resemble party central at times.
Great location, staff are very helpful and pleasant, great nights sleep
Lots of transvestites staying at hotel
