The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff efficient and helpful. The only thing that spoiled my stay was the shouting and screaming from people leaving a club nearby until around 3:30am. I had asked for a quiet room, so to be given a room overlooking the club was annoying.

Location, parking, value for money, excellent breakfast choice, friendly staff. Although hotel room was clean and comfortable, someone had left some nasty stains on the room carpet, not very nice to get out of bed and put your feet on to.

Location was good Only comment which I raised with the hotel on check out was that both of us had been bitten by something in the bed... Had a look for any bug signs but couldn't find anything.

Staff genuinely show interest to be helpful - any issues arising are dealt with cordially and resolved in a very friendly manner, avoiding complications. I also like the fact that breakfast is from 7.30am to 12.00.... I hate having to wake up early so that I can shower and dress in a rush in order to get to breakfast before 9.00 am when I'm on holiday. They also have items on their menu which can be served 24/7. Great! The hotel is also in close proximity of two railway stations. The hotel is not on any direct bus route which takes you to the city centre, but the busy high street, Oxford Road, is only about 100mtrs away and the free shuttle bus stops directly at the corner, so this is not really an issue. Unfortunately, there is no free Wi-Fi - but again, there is a computer in the lobby which is free for guests to use. Food items which are advertised as 24/7 are not always available 24/7!!

The staff were lovely! Very friendly yet very professional! The hotel was clean and bed comfortable. It is also well situated for bars, restuarants and shops. The cooked breakfast, there were no fried eggs, and the beans and scrambled eggs were dried out.

I thought the attitude of the staff and the service level was brilliant. Comfortable bed, great shower and a good sized room - what more do you want? I would like to see maybe a text facility for early booking of the breakfast at the reduced rate. I feel that for a hotel that is not ground level budget internet access should be free of charge Unfortunately during my stay one of the lifts was out of operation, and on one morning there was no bacon at the breakfast.

I am always impressed by Ibis hotels - no frills but all essentials. Well designed, very friendly staff and at an extremely competitive price. A much pleasanter and more reliable experience than many hotels at twice the price. This one was no exception.

The room was fine. I had the late riser breakfast. I knew it wasn't a cooked option but I would have expected either cereal or toast. The selection was rather sparse.

“Location is excellent, right in the centre of town and only a few minutes walk from the Arndale Centre and the bars of Canal St. Good breakfast, a wide selection of hot and cold food, and the bar staff are friendly, though the drinks prices are high.” James, Solihull |
