Room smelt musty - poor quality carpet
The location was ideal for travelling to Devon and Cornwall for day trips. Breakfast was excellent, rooms very comfortable.
Evening meal was poor, maybe it was choice, but they did not charge for one of the main courses, which was good of them.
very nice and pleasant
small space between bathroom and bed. lack of second chair in room awkward to get into cupboard shelves
Food bit pricy for what it was
clean room, comfortable bed, nearly everything worked (one light out, no liquid soap), quiet.
Inept staff, with a nasty attitude, plainly in the wrong job. Think Fawlty Towers only much less entertaining. We left after a long wait, before ordering but after being relieved of 5 pounds 50 for a flat pint-and-a-half of John Smith's. Two other customers had already returned food in that sad, apologetic way that is a British hallmark -- "Sorry. My pudding's still frozen, sorry, and it should really be hot, I think. Sorry. Could happen to anyone. Sorry". No thanks. We're Ugly Americans who travel widely and could even be considered open-minded and friendly, but this fourth-world catastrophe is definitely not for foreigners used to efficient service with a smile. Anyone who appreciates decent treatment should flee this restaurant. You can eat well and cheaply nearby, down the hill at the Sainsbury's cafeteria or, opposite the supermarket, at a restaurant from the Beefeater's chain. Both friendly, both deliver.
Older location and has very tired look and feel.
The staff make all the difference they were absolutely lovely. Excellent cleanliness in the rooms, even though they are a little dated.
Staff very accomadating nothing to much trouble Breakfast good only complaint no fried eggs. Great location.clean comfortable .
Cant think of anything exept hate scrambled eggs
Campanile style rooms in an Ibis hotel excellent breakfast good parking good overnight stop on the A38 on route to Newquay
my wife is allergic to fish and eggs and had little choice on dinner menu so we ate elsewhere in Plymouth not well signposted off A38
Nice breakfast, plenty of choice. Clean room.
Expensive £75 room only!!
Service in the restaurant for dinner was poor.
Standard of Dinner was not up to the standard of my last stay.
Clean, tidy, easy check in/check out, CHEAP, Parked outside our room (BIG BONUS), just wish I knew I could have taken our dogs as they'd have come as well!!!
It wouldn't be too difficult to do a tidy job on the mastic etc otherwise, great!!!
Good Value and Friendly
I used to live in Plymouth but it took me ages to find
Free parking, clean room, comfy bed, lovely deep bath, hairdryer in the room and tv with lots of channels. I felt safe once in my room as the door double locked and I slept really well.
Its a £9 cab ride into Plymouth city centre and as a lone female I didn't feel 100% safe coming back on my own at night as the hotel is a bit like an american motel with the room doors to the outside, and you have to walk through the car park round the back, although its very well lit.
very close to where we needed to be
close to a main road and although I slept right through my wife was woken a few times by the noise of the traffic.
You say the hotel is pet friendly however you don't allow them in the bar. You don't allow them to stay in the room unattended. How then can we eat or drink in the bar? You charge for us to have our pet stay, but we are not allowed to use the facilities. We had to find other alternatives for evening meal and breakfast.
It was a ideal place for what we wanted,no hassle ,left to do your own things, good food, and very friendly staff, very clean, what more could you wish for,
Staff helpful, quiet, good breakfast, good price. Plenty of parking
new beds much better than previously but still a little hard. big bath towels water pressure on shower
dirty shower, hair found on wall, needs to be lever walk in shower for the disabled, wheelchair had problems. grab bar by toilet a little difficult to operate from chair. no separate toiletries no shower cap, no shoe shine no good quality face wash no good quality shower wash what was in bathroom left my face and body very dry and itchy. SHOWER CURTAIN, CHEAP RUBBISH ANNOYING AS STUCH TO YOU WHAEN SHOWERING TRY A GLASS SCREEN
Breakfast buffet was good.
Rooms not clean, hairs all over the floor from previous occupants. lot of noise from neighbours and nearby roads. Food expensive and not very good (£10 for chicken which was stone cold in the middle with a tiny portion of chips). WiFi so slow it is unusable.
WiFi great bar restaurant good
Close to A38 could be noisy for some
Friendliness of staff and ease in extending what was to have been an overnight stop between a holiday in France and Cornwall. I was on my own most of the time as my husband was unexpectedly admitted to hospital from the ferry as we were returning to England. I finally arrived at the hotel in the early hours. I also appreciated the proximity of a bus stop for the town centre and the hospital.
Clean & well maintained
