Nice, comfortable hotel with excellent staff, we stayed for one night before catching a ferry the next morning and were impressed with the quality of service. We also had a meal at the resteraunt which was very good. Excellent value for money. We would stay again when visiting for a short break.
Excellent position to visit old Portsmouth and dockyards on foot also well placed for ferry port
The central location
The room and bathroom were very small and I did not feel that offered good value for money.
Comfortable bed, friendly staff
Room was small and bathroom tiny
Location was great - right near to all university facilities which is why we were visiting.
Bedroom was quite small and bathroom even smaller
Excellent bar staff and super bar meals. Rooms clean and practical. Left too early for breakfast..
Not a lot. City centre location no good for dog walking.
The range of food available for breakfast.
Someone on our floor was smoking and it seeped into our room which was awful. I rang reception, but have no idea whether they did anything other than say 'that's not allowed'.
The friendly and professional staff The restaurant and bar area and the quality of the food
The size of the bathroom especially the tiny shower and position of the toilet
Friendly staff, ready to offer help
warm and comfortable, good locationrobally useagain in the near future
The staff was really nice, polite and helpful!
Staff were great, the bed was really comfy and it was excellent value for money.
Nice clean rooms and good but pricey bar.
expensive for secure parking and not easy to access.
Had a comfortable bed to sleep in and friendly staff
While the sound proofing between rooms couldn't be commented on without shouting, the room/corridor sound proofing wasn't the best
Bathroom too small
My 3 year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay... breakfast was excellent. The staff's were polite, corteus and very friendly with my daughter. Our room was comfortable and clean.
The size of the bathroom.... too narrow.
excellent location close to city centre and only a short walk to Portsmouth harbour and Southsea.
Hotel bar and restaurant rather expensive.
We had a double bed that was against a wall Ie you could only get off by climbing over your partner
We were in transit to Spain and due to a ferry weather cancelation booked at the last minute; however we have decided to use the Ibis in future following this visit for its location and suitability, rather than staying overnight in London which we have done in the past.
The reception area was bright, welcoming and clean. I was happy to spend a couple of hours in the bar area every evening, having a couple of drinks, on my laptop. The Restaurant food was excellent and tasty so I hade evening meals in the hotel for 5 nights running. The staff are also very welcoming, helpful and extremely friendly!
The fact that you have to pay £7 per day to park your car in their carpark. Most other hotels in the city have free car parking. Plus I think £7 is quite expensive.
Easy to find. Secure car park. Easy access back to ferry port. Good facilities.
Staff very friendly
Very nice hotel.we took our dog and they were very accommodating for us
