Near motorway. Size of room. Breakfast was okay, but it would have been nice if there had been more cheese and some cold meat... and maybe pancakes :-) The pillows are hard.

Liked the accessibility and the ease of finding hotel. We requested twin beds on booking and received a double bed.

staff were friendly room was clean reasonable location Budget was great Good breakfast staff were a little inexperienced cleaner came in the afternoon we had been out all morning until 1.30pm & she wanted to clean about 2.30pm (not convenient) every other hotel I've ever been in was cleaned AM. Location was a little hard to find (a bit Hidden) but Pleasant. Good price for stay even though we left a day early ( we understood there was no reduction) & didn't expect it anyway. Could have done with boiled or fried eggs.

I stayed overnight with my mother after having surgery at the first trust hospital. The hotel was very clean, spacious , modern and comfortable and the service we received was excellent. The night porter was very friendly and good to us when we got up at 5am for breakfast before leaving that morning. The only thing is when booking online make sure you ring to confirm your room type, I had selected a twin room and we got a double room. Didnt matter too much as there was a sofa bed. Overall very very nice stay and the new beds are very comfortable!

staff decorating around us at reception surely this could be done overnight...overpowering smell of paint! Table lamp not working. Public areas generally tatty and uncomfortable. Food at next door bar/restaurant was appalling!! Not sure if this belongs to Ibis?

The rooms are clean and well decorated, the beds are all new and very comfy with excellent pillows. They are dog friendly at no extra cost. There is a pub next door for food. Second time I have stayed here as excellent value for money. The fact you have to pay extra for wif-fi. I go next door for the pub as they have free wi-fi.

Nice hotel, reasonable price, ideally situated for me Wifi caused me problems - around £10.00 for 24 hours which in a budget hotel wasn't too bad. However I wanted to watch the cricket on Sky on my lap top and couldn't, but even more of a problem was that I went there to help my son sort out his house and tried to buy a tumble drier on line. Transaction refused and my bank cancelled my debit card. I found out that the internet connection was via France. SkyGo doesn't work in France and my bank (quite reasonably) reasoned that I couldn't be in Preston and then in Paris in a couple of hours. I rang their internet provider and was told that their terms and conditions said it was a French site. I mentioned it to the hotel staff and they said it was French company and there was nothing they could do about it. I checked the terms and conditions and as far as I could see it said it was an orange connection, which is the same as my mobile. Fortunately I was able to get my card reinstated by my bank within a few minutes. I just feel that there should have been some clear warning in the hotel that it was French internet connection and that normal UK services would not work

Excellent value (we had a room at £38). Good location for us for an overnight stay after getting off the Isle of Man ferry at Heysham. Dog friendly is a fantastic bonus for us and a major reason to come again. For what we required it was perfect.
