i have stayed here numerous times i must be satisfied
in some rooms not enough storage space
We were back for a University reunion and so, for a night out in town it was perfect location, we booked in advance so the price was very reasonable and the room had everything we need, plus a TV and tea-making facilities, what more do you want?
The bathroom has very thin 'walls' so I wouldn't share a room with someone you're not completely comfortable with!! Not a problem for us and bathroom was roomy and clean. Big shower!
Excellent position for shopping! Went Xmas shopping with a friend which meant we could return to hotel to drop off purchases whenever we wanted. Great location for eating out in the evening too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
My only concern was the call I received the next day, stating that I had left bags behind which turned out to be someone else's completely. Made me slightly concerned with regards to security, but not enough to prevent from returning in the future.
Bed very comfortable. Clean bathroom facilities. Security good and lift worked well. Didn't have to wait long for it.
Thin, grubby carpet in room. No pictures on the walls, although the picture thing wasn't a big deal. Crowded, noisy bar. We went next door to the Novotel to get a drink.

Not as clean as expected
Location, breakfast, very helpful staff.
There was a problem with the heating system. We were told that some rooms were very hot; ours was cold. We were promptly given heaters, but the room was not fully comfortable because the temperature could not be precisely regulated.
Good location. Very clean. Comfortable. Suitable for short stay.

Good location. Modern and clean.
Despite good first impressions, found a number of hairs in the bathroom that were definitely not mine....!
Excellent breakfast, quiet locality
Lack of signage for anyone walking from the train station
Staff were friendly and helpful
The bathroom was not nice and had a very cheap feel to it
Reception was efficient. Our room was ready when we arrived at 12:45ish. Clean, clutter free yet everything we needed was available in the room. Thank you...
Nothing comes to mind
Near railway station and shops
Always love staying here! Right in the center of town, really comfy bed with a nice, if small, bathroom and the staff are always friendly. Free wifi was very helpful too for someone who doesn't know the area.
The first time I stayed, the shower head kept falling off but it's the only problem I've had.
Location great, small but comfortable room, quiet enough for good rest, good breakfast, clean. Offered complimentary breakfast to compensate for mix up -eventually
Bit of a hostel atmosphere, problems with reservations, they said it was booking.com's fault and happens all the time. Implied it was my problem for not anticipating this. If it happens all the time why don't they fix it! Staff a bit brusque
Great Staff - Well done Edourd from Majorca a very good Representative for IBIS should go far
No real milk with coffee at the Bar.No fruit available at Bar - snacks!!
The location is perfect for the train station, shops, restaurants etc.
Did not really like the area around the Reception , although that did not take from our stay there. The reception staff were very nice and friendly
Carpet in room definitely needs to be changed lots of stains and there was a smell in the room that wasn't very nice!
I was going to Twickenham to watch Rugby from Devon and decided Reading was the best place to base myself. The hotel is only 200 yds from the Station, so I checked in and then caught the train to Twickenham (which starts in Reading). There was a big breakfast room and the cost was reasonable.
There were 14 floors and only 2 small lifts. Because you had to swipe your card to work the lift, quite a few people came up to the 13th Floor - where I was staying - and I couldn't get in because they wanted to go down. Alternatively the Lift system didn't work.
no facilities eg Bar, coffee or snacks It is what it is a nightly stop over
Close to town centre.
Rooms were small Parking was not close and was expensive Rooms smelt Beds were not ready Staff not helpful Hotel was not worth the price we paid Never again will i stay at this hotel
Superb location, tea/coffee making room facility, cordial, efficient reception staff, express check-in and checkout.
No room safe, slow lift service, very poor, limited internet, drafty UPVC room window
They did not accept my reservation and offered me the full price for a room after my arrival (much higher that reserved one). It was quite late, so it was an only possibility for me. I was surprised because I am staying in this hotel every time I am in Reading and this never happened till now.
The bathroom shower was excellent. All too often the shower can let the room down, but this one was excellent
Personal was very friendly.
Heater in the room can not be arranged to higher temperatures. Room was cold.
