The room was lovely and the staff where friendly also the bed was comfortable and I was amazed at the wonderful en-suite bathroom. The bathroom sink stunk a little and was really horrible to stand by when brushing my teeth, I didn't want to touch the water.

I especially liked the location which was 5 minutes away from the Crucible, and any possible attraction in the city. Train station is also close (4gbp bu taxi) so probably 15min of walking max. Staff very young, friend;y and useful. Good food ordered at the bar, and good ale served in drought.

We spent here 4 days during the ice Figure Skating European Championship and have to say it was perfect for the purpose. Top floor rooms are very quiet. 2 fast lifts. Bathroom is clean, shower is spacious and in very good condition. Loved the big bed too. Heater is ok. 3 minutes from supertram station, nice central location. Small flat tv with only a couple of channels (bad reception at times). Carpet a bit worn.

Excellent location for access to town and shopping. Secure parking next door with discount rates. Very clean hotel with modern facilities and very friendly , helpful and welcoming staff. The beds are quite firm so not the most comfortable. Other than that this is a great hotel for a reasonable price.

Walls and floors were concrete making it much quieter in the room. Bed was firm so I got a great nights sleep. Bathroom facilities were good and room furniture was useful...lots of desk space and chairs. Kettle didn't switch off, tv reception poor, wifi signal poor and carpet a bit thin and tired

Being a pensioner I look for value for money, which this hotel certainly has. It is in a very good location, although there is a steep incline which ever way you choose to get into the centre. The outside is not as attractive as other budget hotels. The climb you have to get into town.
