the staff are excellent and hard working

grubby, no fridge, no robes,cant open windows because of noise outside and so rooms to hot, no bath towels only small ones, no hand towels, one small hand soap for two people, to describe it as basic would be to generous

Comfortable bed, quite room, close to couch and train station, close to the city centre.

First room was just busy. Bedroom's floor wasn't a wood floor but a carpet floor.

Staff approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. Was able to leave luggage after checking out so that i could do some sightseeing before travelling home by train. handy for railway station.

Breakfast not as good as that offered at many Premier Inns. Also elf-serve coffee machine wasn't working one day - staff were happy to make coffees etc but this led to a queue.

Close to cruise terminal dining and shopping. Friendly staff. Honest housekeeping staff. They kept our iPhone charger( which we left in room) for our return from cruise. Then returned it to us. Bar & restaurant on site.

If I was going to be picky there could be a swimming pool or spa but really for a short stay and the price nothing we didn't like

being able to park, near shops, good loaction for visiting freinds and family , access to resturants and bars

Reception staff much to be desired no hand towels available staff at breakfast time very slow and inefficient

Gary. He took the time to work out a solution to the booking issue. Mikel, once Gary had thought of the idea, mikel took the time to implement it.

The fact that the booking of 5xtwin rooms had turned out as 5x double rooms. Issue resolved after 1.5hrs of negotiation.

Knew what to expect as it was a typical Ibis Hotel. Location was close to the Southampton Railway Station and an easy walk into the city centre.

Staff were scarce and the computer system was down so they seemed to lack knowledge in what they were doing. The TV remote was not in the room and took some time before the problem was resolved, again due to being under-staffed. OK place to stay if you are only there for a stop-over.

i am registar disabled and was put in a room with wet room was great and very thoughtful of the staff. i member of staff even came up in the lift with me to carry my coffee because i use walking aids. great service. would use hotel again, thank you.

wet room water was out of base which made the bathroom very wet and slippery.

The Staff!!! Originally booked in for 7 nights whilst my husband was in hospital, my staff became 17 nights. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful at a time of great stress.

Nothing - perfect for a mature woman staying alone.

The room was clean, reasonable size and the breakfast was much better than I expected it to be. Parking is reasonable and the offer for movies and internet at £3.99 is very good. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

The room got quite warm at night and it its only April hopefully they turn the air con on in the summer

It did exactly what it said on the tin. For £45 you could not complain food if you wanted it, rooms clean, staff helpfull near the port if you was catching a cruise or near the shopping centre if you wanted to shop. Very good value.

There was nothing to dis-like

i have been charged 5 pounds for late check out when it was quite obvious that i had left the hotel as i had paid for one room but neglected to pay for the other as i thought that would be automatically charged to my credit card,a small oversight but 5 pounds obviously means more to a company like ibis than showing customers respect so i wont stay there again
