Our room was not cleaned at all but we did not relise this until the morning when we made the bed. Then when we were transferred to another room it was completely drowned in cleaning fumes and was three times smaller than the other one. This ruined our trip completely. |

hotel was clean, and staff were really friendly. we booked the hotel because we were going to the races, and thought we might have to get a taxi there and back, but we were within walking distance, and the bars and restaurants were really close when we had finished, superb location |

I liked the quality of the surroundings in the bar area and the service provided by the bar staff. The bedroom was very hot and I could hear the floor creaking loudly with the people walking around in the room above ours. |

The central location particularly as we travelled by rail. We felt that the cooked breakfast was of a poor standard. |

Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were really friendly. We enjoyed breakfast very much as well. Internet access is not great. A good idea would be to have wi-fi technology in the rooms. |

it was close to the amenitites first impressions..... not a bad place. Check in was good and speedy, i was with friends who spoke spanish, and one of the receptionists was fluent which was good.....And then it went downhill. In the room only one main light worked and there were strange bits on the bedding?!?!?! |

The Ibis York is centrally located, its reasonably priced and clean. Other guests were noisy during the night. The reception staff could have been more welcoming. |

The staff were very helpful and the food was also good also the walk from the hotel to the centre of York was minimal so we were able to leave the car and see the sites without worring about parking |

Central location, also near station. Good breakfast and public rooms, able to leave luggage before check in and after check out. Rather cheap feel to corridors and stairs. Not well soundproofed |

Parking at hotel was good. Access to city centre good. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms No hand-towels and small bath towels were an issue. A hair drier would have helped |

Location was good. I am not used to having to pay extra for breakfast - despite booking 2 rooms, receptionist only charged for 1 breakfast per room which was not apparent until credit card record checked later on the day of arrival. We then had to go through the performance of further breakfast bookings later - no one checked the following day, so honesty was certainly not the best policy! |

The room was extremely basic for the money we paid and the beds were not the most comfortable. Also there was an unusual smell in our bedroom which we could smell each time we entered the room. |
