Just metres from Canterbury’s medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403. A former coaching inn, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, 2 minutes’ walk from the city centre.

peaceful and relaxing
Freindly welcome, large comfortable room. The location is great for me. being quiet away from any road noise. Lovely restaurant nearby serving excellent food.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was very comfortable and the jacuzzi bath was fantastic.
Excellent food and very friendly staff.
comfy beds, great breakfast menu, friendly & helpful staff
off the beaten path, but the owners emailed us a hand-drawn map and directions that explained everything about finding the place
Beautiful tucked away retreat which had all that we needed as a couple with a dog.
1) Breakfast was suppose to stop at 09:30am but when we went to check out at 10:20am they still prepared us brakfast. 2) The owner was very helpful when trying to organise a taxi into canterbury. 3) Kids would love this place two pony's and a very friendly dog on the farm greeted us as we arrived.

Difficult to find dislikes
warm hospitality of our hosts, quiet and comfort of accommodation, with log fire - we stayed in the small cottage at the end of the paddock.
excellent breakfast beautiful grounds lovely house
Lovely place. Roomy apartment for a family of 4. Close to Canterbury. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Kindness of the staff Situation comfort
We received a very warm welcome from the family and staff, who always went out of their way to help us with everything we needed and who made us feel very much at home. Comfortable room, great breakfast, and for the children, the most important thing were the two ponies living on the farm whom they could play with every morning and evening. Also, it was great to be able to have our clothes washed and dried whenever requested. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Thank you to everyone in Iffin Farmhouse for making it so special!
The biggest problem for us was the location, because of the distance from Iffin Farmhouse to Canterbury. By car, it is just a few minutes drive from or into town, but without a car, the location is problematic. Walking into town will take about 45 minutes, but with small children, it is more likely to be 90 minutes. Also, it is not a really enjoyable and relaxed stroll through the country side, because you have to walk all the time on the side of narrow roads, and watching out for the many cars passing. In the end, we had to take a taxi every morning and evening. The taxi drivers gave us a discounted fare and were very friendly and helpful, but having to take the taxi on a daily basis proved to be rather costly. Dinner at Iffin was a very nice home-made meal and it is great to have this as an option when you are tired and don't want to eat out. However, there are many cheaper options and/or very good restaurants in Canterbury.
The room and spa bath .
The room was spacious, the bathroom updated and clean. The dinner was scrumptious and the staff were friendly and gracious. I loved that it was not a regular hotel; the dining room was set up family style, which added to its distinct charm. I will definitely go back!
The bed was very firm, but still more comfortable than the other beds we slept on during our trip.
Nice and welcoming staff! Enjoyed the stay.
Wet room was a little small but not a big issue
The calm of the surroundings , so peaceful and lovely. Staff and patron were charming and helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Putting my daughter into University was made so much easier as we had the warm hospitality of Iffin Farmhouse.
Access into the Farmhouse was a path that had a loose pebbled pathway. If you had a suitcase on wheels which all of us had, it was a struggle. If they paved that path so suitcases could glide, this place would have no other real flaw.
We stayed in the cottage and had use of the large summerhouse as well with a further comfy bed. It was perfect, could wander down to the farmhouse for an excellent breakfast, then linger on the patio with a coffee, no rush to go out. Very friendly staff, cosy cottage, very well equipped for self catering and privately situated, no need to panic if the doing barked! Excellent location, 5 mins from Canterbury but in the middle of the country. Would recommend and definitely would go again. Quite a find!
Olde world farmhouse, comfy and welcoming. Massive room with spa bath. Quiet and relaxing. Largest selection of breakfasts I've ever come across
Would prefer separate tables for breakfast, not one large table for all guests
Convenience of rural peace near a congested city. Pleasant attractive setting. Quiet situation.
Lack of safety rails in bathroom.
Lovely, airy, bright, big rooms. Large, open, green spaces. Delicious, made-to-order breakfast spread. Friendly, young staff and service. Away from yet near the main sights of Canterbury.
These are not really major negatives: Small size TV set No cookies/ biscuits in the room.
We had a great time, the little cottage was cosy, the food excellent and so close to Canterbury.
The site was wonderful, the summer house was very relaxing and the bedroom was comfortable and attractive
