Out of centre location but very well reachable on foot or by the great free bus centre link service. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good facilities to cook and clean/shower. Good offers for food and drink with pub a few doors down.

Stayed one night should have been two but that's my problem!

Staff were great, friendly, helpful, polite and understanding of needs. I'm walking disabled and they helped with parking space close to hostel and put us on first floor having checked I could manage a flight of stairs. Loved the wall murals, so did the kids.

Furniture a bit dilapidated, mattresses on beds not bad, but could have been a bit thicker and softer, but I'm quite fussy, the kids were very comfortable on theirs. Kitchen quite cramped only seating for 6 to eat breakfast, their were 5 of us and others were staying so not ideal.

£17.50 was the good bit Friendly enough staff For a £10 deposit they gave me a key to the front door do I could role in at anytime.

Bit of a hike from city centre although walkable. I know it's only a hostel but a bit of soap in the bathroom would have been nice. Room was boiling hot and noise of traffic was horrendous But it was ok I would stay again if I had to but would try and get a quiter room if available and if no better I would not stay a third time. Waking up I'm a mixed sex dorm was a little strange also and too very drunk girls coming in at 3am didn't help things friendly enough staff though

The staff was nice. People in my room were friendly.

It's cheap, so I understand it's a very small place. But facilities can be cleaner. The kitchen down the basement looked so worn. Even if it's cheap, at least the floor and board could be furnished nicer. The fridges looked so messy. Of course it's travelers' responsibility to sort food out nicely, but staff can at least put notice and advise out what to put on a shelf or in a fridge. The board was like burned. Chopping bit was sticking up. Towels looked a bit dirty. When I was leaving, I took off the bed sheet as advised, and I realised how dirty the mattress was. About five big old stains. Honestly, if the staff try to change or improve some facilities, it'll be much better. Travelers will be more careful when using them too. I stayed another hostel, and it's the same price with plenty of continental breakfast and lovely facilities. Maybe Igloo can change something at least.

Lovely, friendly staff. Good facilities. Nice and quiet. Clean. Sociable atmosphere and good location. Excellent value.

There was a bit of an offputting odour when I first came in. Bed linen was a bit old.

Great staff. It is the staff who made the difference Helpful quote. There is so many positive vibes here with good house rules and Bernard Shaw famous quote: men are not meant to find themselves , but create themselves

Narro corridor typical of victorian building makes it very hard to put big luggage up. The room is a bis small and on the cramp side

Friendly and helpful staff. Awesome double rooms, clean new bathrooms and kitchens. Quiet and less than 5 mins walk to the city centre with excellent links outwards. I was commuting out to the hospital. Much better than the hotel I checked out of after 1 night of hell!!!

The room we had to ourselves was fairly spacious which came with a TV. There was a kitchen with all amenities and a couple decent showers on the same floor. Complimentary tea and coffee was a nice touch with space to store our dry and refrigerated food. The staff were very nice and helpful throughout our entire stay. Great value for money.

Beds weren't that comfortable - especially the pillows which were too flat/hard. It was quite warm in the room so we had to open the window and could hear the main road busy with cars and people all night.

My friend and I were in Nottingham for a tournament in Warhammer World and we stayed in the Igloo because it was very well reviewed and cheaper than nearly all the other hotels in or near the city centre.

Our only issue was it took us 2-3 hours to find the hostel since when we asked for directions no one could tell us exactly where it was and there was no obvious sign to point it out. Aside from this little snag our accommodation was perfect and we loved the tournament so much we'll definitely come back next year for it and stay in the Igloo again!

loved the different style, instead of samey travel lodges, the decor, especially the grafiti, the simple but mixed styles of furniture, decor and facilities-all of a very acceptable standard, and other guests. It was so clean and comfortable-all you need with such good value

Thicker curtains or blackout ones would have helped

A comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Attentive and friendly staff. The building is due for an upgrade and the management are well aware of this and taking appropriate action.

For me everything was fine. Travelers should be aware that this is a city center location with the usual sounds at night. The benefits outweigh any disadvantage
