    The relaxed atmosphere and the fact that every member of staff spoke to you or acknowledged you when walking around the hotel.

    Great location and views Excellent customer service from hotel staff Good food at breakfast Good facilities - indoor and outdoor pool and gym & children's entertainment Good for dogs (except putting us in a tiny room!) Use of sunloungers on balcony

    Some food at dinner - way too salty Service by some of the waiting staff - we were not asked how our meal was on 2nd night & we had to send a dish back Small rooms despite paying extra for a dog (and we had a baby in there too so very cramped!)

    Unacceptable queues especially at check out, we were not the only ones complaining. Reception couldn't find some of our reservations etc

    The Hotel is welcoming, staff helpful and polite, the room itself is spacious, lovely bath, a variety of choices for breakfast, overall we really enjoyed our stay in style

    Beautiful hotel family room is very big and comfortable bed lovely view. Food is also good. Waiting to come back again.

    Staff is not really seems happy they should welcome with the smile and little bit more helpful.

    The view from the restaurant over the bay is the only good thing about the hotel And a good sized room despite looking very tired......... Good location and easy walking distance to the harbour.

    Unhelpful staff and an unwillingness to help Expensive underground car park If breakfast is to be served from 7.30 am, it should be 7.30 am and not brought out from the kitchen ten minutes later. Interesting layout of the room and viewing the TV. In short, the hotel are keen to turn round a fast buck but sadly customer focus is not at the forefront which is disappointing. Even allowing for a somewhat looking tired hotel, service costs nothing and it is this that distinguishes you from others.

    We loved everything about this hotel, the facilities were many, varied and excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot and cold options. The location was absolutely perfect with stunning views over Torquay. Well worth every penny and we will definitely be returning. We didn't wan't to go home!

    Location - ease of access into town and other towns along coast i.e. Brixham Views over bay Outdoor pool and shady gardens Adequate parking

    Tired public rooms and bedroom. Many areas of the hotel need to be refurbished. The hotel was taken over a month ago so we hope they have plans to upgrade! More staff are needed to ensure the leisure areas are cleaned and tidied regularly. There were many young staff who seemed to lack a manager overseeing and supporting them i.e. in the restaurant and bar. The person who served us at the bar could not open a new bottle of wine so we went without!

    Position of hotel and amenities were excellent. Food and service excellent. Would certainly use hotel again.

    £7per day car parking charge but considering the congestion in Torquay was good value. Unfortunately for us hotel nightclub was being used for a wedding reception which went on till 4.0 am. No air conditioning so open windows gave us full blast of the disco.

    position was great with good views and the decor was very nice, both pools were really good , clean and a pleasure to use.

    Car park costs , member of staff in reception on arrival was not very welcoming, member of staff in bar area for food during the day very offhand and took 25 minutes to bring a very sad and expensive cheese and pickle sandwich. Breakfast was ok but bacon was burnt every morning and the fried eggs were rock hard.

    Most things were fine

    The bar was inadequate for prompt service, sometimes there were 5 people behind the counter 3 of whom were adding up accounts and not part of the service-difficult to catch anybodies eye. Our visit coincided with a wedding and getting a round was frustrating to say the least. The solution is simple,move a till away from the service area and give us two staff to focus on.Also the floor manager might care to visit on a busy night and ask themselves if stacks of plastic glasswasher trays on the main counter is their concept of a 4 star hotel.
