The location was perfect Although it had fantastic views the Hotel itself is very dated and need a complete refurb. The leisure facility, pool, sunbeds (Birds mess all over them) and the patio area's were all in need of a good clean. Breakfast was very poor quality for the cost of the room and again the dinning room was in need of updating. Not worth the money, its a shame as the location is perfect.

The location of this hotel was fantastic, and the staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The hotel is in need of a little updating and a bit of pain in places, also the .£7 car park fee,i feel that for a 4 star hotel this should have been free

Our first impression of the hotel was wow! And it did not fail to impress us there after. Our rooms were not ready so after complimentry drinks at the bar we were upgraded to suites on the 2nd and 4th floor and I do mean suites. We were fortunate to be seaward facing with beautiful views over the bay, looking down on the gardens and outside pool. We used both indoor and outdoor pools and were handed complimentry towels so we did not have to use our own if we chose not to. In the evening we dined in the Regatta restaurant and the food was fabulous. After a blissful sleep we awoke to breakfast delivered to the suite, and I have to say that I found the whole experience including staff to be superb and would not hesitate in recommending The Imperial to my friends, colleagues and family.

I didn't like being put on the top floor at the back of hotel with no views, also being on top floor the shower had no pressure at certain times of the day,so no shower before breakfast had to wait until about 10am to get a shower.

Sea view was excellent, room size good. Not so good was being charged for parking and for 4 star would have expected complimentary bottled water and welcome pack.

The location and comfy bed That products advertised did not exist, such as free wi-fi, nightclub, outdoor pool. Collecting breakfast which became cold after waiting for food to be replenished, cold toast and so on. Poor quality wine offering by the glass in the bar. Paying for car parking. The bath looked grubby/scummy but after paying for cleaning materials to clean it myself we realised that this was not the case and was due to age. The shower just dribbled due to no water pressure during the total stay, so paid to have my hair done in the town!

A very relaxed atmosphere, we were upgraded to a suite upon our arrival, however, the patio doors onto the balcony were locked and were not allowed to be opened for maintainence reasons, this was very disappointing and made the room at time over bearing in regard to heat and no fresh air. Overall, our stay was very comfortable and the room was spotless We decided to eat in the restaurant on our last evening, which was disappointing, whilst some element of the meal were enjoyable, others let it down. Such a shame, as with limited tweeking, the experience could have been much more enjoyable.

Location is very good - I like to run in the morning, so running alongside the beach is great. The price of the carpark - 7 pounds per night I feel is overpriced.

Great location and it still has elements of its faded grandeur. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant has an amazing view over the bay. Good choice at breakfast, reasonably well executed. The bedroom carpet clashed horrifically with the bedspread and hall carpet. Windows in the room were both in poor condition

Very grand hotel and we stayed at a bargain price which helped, Sadly we had a phone call from back home to say my mother had passed away so came back home sooner than hoped. Only thing eas very slow service for our evening bar meal, one hour wait, I think we had been forgotten, so made us a little late for our theatre show, but the helpful staff did apologise at the hotel, so we have still good thoughts about our stay best wishes Mike and Tania Armstrong

Free Parking and the location of the hotel, nice and quiet location How the style/design was not what I expected Barcelo Hotels to be like, very very dated feel and based on this it would put me off staying at another Barcelo Hotel. Bed was a very small 'double'

We had room 415 and it was beautiful and all my family enjoyed it. My daughter did not want to leave. The one problem is the balcony wasn't accessable.

This is a lovely, welcoming hotel. The location is just fantastic with stunning views overlooking the bay, from the resturant.Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was well presented and cooked perfectly.,although did not eat an evening meal here. The location is great also,as a short walk leads to the harbour with some lovely resturants, and shops. We will definately be returning in the near future. This was excellent value for money.!!! Our room was spotlessly clean, and an adequate size, although the bathroom was a little on the small side.with a loose plastic toilet seat!. There was a large stain on the ceiling which needs decorating. These are very picky points but I think it is worth noting.Room no: 435 which overlooks the car park.

The position It is looking very tired and scruffy in places. The staff in the dining room appeared to care nothing about customer service and the food was exceedingly expensive for a very mediocre meal. To charge £ 7.00 for car parking without any notice is nothing short of a scam. We will not return. Such a shame as the location and views are superb

Warm welcome and well organised check in. Whilst there wa a large number of guests staying at the hotel it didnt seem noisy or overcrowded. Breakfast was great with plenty of fruit and cereal with a plentiful self serve full english breakfast. Staff were helpful and polite throughout. Great value for money and would certainly stay again and recomed to others Beach area by hotel was down a sharp slope with the path being large stepdowns. Could do more with the space by the sea to make it more pleasant to sit out

Attentive staff in bar and excellent bar food. Poor internet facility. Wasn't working when I arrived and even when fixed, couldn't access internet in my room. Grateful for voucher.Fire alarm went off unexpectedly (false alarm caused by someone spraying deodorant in a bathroom apparently). Overly-sensitive system which I understand also reacts to bathroom steam. The alarm was actually deafening.
