Our best one word description of your hotel is: "decrepit". We could also say very badly in need of cleaning. All windows filthy inside and out. Curtains are ancient, stained and dirty. You need to bring this hotel up to standard by spending some money.

Great room overlooking the sea.Wonderful Victorian building with the bonus of a swimming pool.Breakfast was good value and the location in the nicer part of Blackpool.

Peace and quiet and the character of the hotel.

The shower needed attention as there was a poor flow. There was no shower cap provided which was essential for me.

I thought your reception staff were excellent - whilst waiting for my luggage tickets, I left a programme on the counter - next day I went back to see if they had seen it and they had, it was stored away safely. The reception staff when I stayed (from 11.30am Sun 22 Nov 2009 through to Monday 11am 23 Nov) were just lovely - professional, helpful, but would also have a smile and a joke with you - they were efficient, friendly and really helpful. nothing was too much trouble and they did not take too much time doing what you needed either, at the expense of other guests. MORE than 10 out of 10 to all of those people!

Super position, close to town and all amenities

the hotel is now looking a bit tired ie decor, cracks in ceiling of our bedroom, bathroom needs refurbishing silicone around bath and shower a little dirty, window frames need replacing.

I liked staying in this Victorian hotel and noticing some of the attractive architectural features such as the lovely high ceilings, attractive ceiling mouldings and view of the sea from the hotel lobby. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and extremely helpful at all times.

As a single traveller, it could be useful to offer guests a seaview and double bed if available (perhaps these were not available during my stay). This would enhance my intentions of returning. People do not always realise the value of single guests

Location was good for us as it was quiet and well away from the bars and clubs. The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was lovely with a variety of food.

The hotel was not value for money at £115.00. We stayed here one night and one night at The Hilton which cost £93.00 for exactly the same booking. We only booked this hotel becuase there was no room at The Hilton for 2 nights. The bed was small compared to the one in the Hilton. I would recommend you stay here but only if The Hilton was fully booked.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and good value for money. Close to main attractions and within walking distance of towncentre. Good parking facilities. Good breakfast choice.
