Was very disappointed with our room, we asked to change rooms but the hotel was fully booked. We were on the first floor, the view from our window was a roof top with scaffolding, this made the room very dark, didn't want to stay in the room for long, thank goodness we only stayed one night. Stayed in loads of hotels over the years and this is the first time I have ever companied.

Have stayed at Hotel a few years ago and found housekeeping not up to previous stay. Did not get room that was requested, explanation for this was incorrect. Paid for premium room with safe, no safe in room. Toilet handle hanging off. Room was not cleaned before we moved in. Housekeeper had to be called to clean toilet as it had just been used before we moved in. Children running up and down corridors and knocking on doors.

Lovely old world hotel with gorgeous original features. Large comfy rooms with beautiful views.Friendly polite staff. A decent sized pool with sauna and steam room. Great breakfast with a wide variety. No toiletries in the spa showers/changing rooms. However there were toiletries in the room.

Ideal location, quiet but close to the town centre, buses and trams stop outside. Breakfast was superb. Have stayed at the Imperial before and would stay again.

Victorian class. Tradition. Grandeur of the main areas. Seafront. Good links to everything in the town. Fading a bit. Needs freshening up (decorating).

My husband and I had a lovely stay. On arrival at 12.15 our room was not ready which was no problem at all to us. The receptionist offered to look after our luggage but we left it in the car and went out for a wander. When we returned later we were allocated a lovely spacious room with a sea view. Breakfast had everything you could imagine to suit all tastes and was lovely and plentiful. We found all the staff - from reception, cleaners to restaurant staff all very polite and friendly and we would definatley return.

We had an awful room that was dirty and shabby. It had dodgy electrical sockets and there was used towells left on the floor. There was a lack of any written information regarding services the hotel offers. Overall it was a terrible experience we won't be repeating.

Far better quality than the majority of other nearby hotels A bit of a distance from the town centre - which is both good and bad. Quiet but a bit of a trip, especially from the pleasure beach.

The building itself was fantastic. The rooms was really comfortable and clean. I didn't get time to use the leisure facilities but they looked really good and professional. Breakfast was one of the best I have had- good choice and well cooked. Nice ambiance

I have stayed many times at the Imperial and like its general ambience. I used to like a lot of othet things that no longer apply. The whole hotel is now very very tired and in places quite scruffy. It is still a beautiful hotel building but inside is a very different story. It all needs a good clean (not the bedrooms - they were fine) . all the carpets need replacing. It needs redecorating. I paid 97£ for a double including breakfast - not cheap but ok. The quoted price was 275£ - does anyone really pay that! Unfortunately I think we will try somewhere else next time!

Had dinner on the two nights and was very poor needed a steak knife to cut through my chicken, not enough on the plate. Fish and chips £14 c'mon plus £5 xtra to bring it to your room think thats what you call taking the p--s £19 must be the dearest fish and chips in britain

The staff were very helpfull and accomodating they couldnt do enough for us. The room was lovely and big, the bed was super king sized the biggest bed we've ever slept in. The bathroom was lovely and big also. The whole hotel felt luxurious, Breakfast was excellent with a range of food to suit all tastes and service second to none. Lack of designated smoking facility meaning that people were stood too near the doorway smoking.

Looking at the hotel around Blackpool we were limited when looking for good location as well as quality; although the Imperial ticked both boxes along with great price! The hotel rooms were lovely spacious and clean. The breakfast was of high quality and the staff were very tentative!
