nice size room and bathroom and cupboard space lovely comfortable lounges. Historical ambiance.

we thought the food to be a little expensive and also the bar for drinks. Because of this reason, we did tend to eat out.

I was there for the Law Society summer ball. The setting is lovely. The food was delicious and the sun shone. Room and bed comfy.

The staff friendliness was exceptionally good.

Some of the public rooms required re-furbishment. Their did not appear to be easy access at the main entrance for disabled travellers.

Reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful. In particular Paul in the bar was excellent. Breakfasts and Sunday Carvery were very good and restaurant staff again good balance between friendly and polite.

Bedroom (room 115) had a miserable dirty aspect looking over a roof covered in pigeon muck. The bed was so close to one wall making access difficult. Two steps from en suite to bedroom were lethal when getting up in the night to go to the toilet. My wife fell down them and damaged her hip (didn't put the light on so as not to disturb me). Also the bathroom wasn't very clean (some nasty rust near the tadiator). And my wife thought the bath was a bit high making it difficult to get in and out. I realise there were upgrades for rooms but felt at this price it didn't meet standards of other hotel rooms we have stayed in.

the staff were lovely...specially the girls in the reception....louise and carrie...very helpfull and a credit to the hotel...the food was excellent...swimming pool and jacquzzi fantastic...and the sunset in the evening amazing...first time staying at the imperial...definitley wont be my last.

Overpriced very small room ,with function rooms below us with loud music until 2am so didn't get any rest its the most expensive hotel in Blackpool.My complaint was acknowledged with an apology and a bottle of wine I would have preferred a discount on my £248 2 night stay! Definately wont be staying there again.

The room was great, and its fantastic we can bring the dog. The pool and spa day was wonderful and my massage was very relaxing and reduced to half price. The Sunday lunch was great value and very tasty . We are debating wether we should have our wedding with you.

The reception staff at the pool we not very helpful, we noticed this last time.

The hotel generally is tired and needs decorating, the room had obviously has a damp problem at some point, as there was a patch on the ceiling. Th bathroom light was dodgy, it flickered and you heard a buzzing nosie from the switch, you could not open the windows.

Large comfortable room in an old established hotel. Parts were showing their age, but this adds to its charm. Nice buffet style breakfast.

Fridge and safe were not working in our room. We were later told that the fridges had been decommissioned.

Our particular room was smaller than we expected and very hot and stuffy, even with the window open,which would only open a few inches.

loved the hotel and deffo would come again 9 out of 10 because off the fire alarm .

the only thing i did not like waking up at i think about 4.30am with the fire alarm going off and no explaition was made why it went off mmmm very suprised at that .

The reception was friendly and responsive. I would mention Louise as the main agent in providing excellent service. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.

There was a stain on the corridor floor that had been sprayed but then abandoned for the entirety of our stay.

Position of hotel and good parking.

The poor quality of the sandwiches that were purchased in the foyer. The filling of Tuna Mayo and cucumber (cucumber was missing) was discusting, it look prepacked and was just mush. I hate to think what our overseas guests make of these. The room was very small and could have been much cleaner. Twice I triped over the loose carpet in the hallway. If my back had continued to hurt I would have been speaking to the management. The hotel seemed very short staffed as only one person was on check in and out. This is poor management it looks like the hotel is trying to cut corners and save money on staffing levels. However the busy staff were very polite and helpful.

Reception staff where second to none, friendly and efficient When we asked to upgrade our room the receptionist came to us with the new room keys

Lounge waitress could have been more forthcoming in taking my lunch order as I waited over fifteen minutes until I went to her. A lot of noise outside of our room each morning from other guests and staff. For the price of the stay I expected to have some form of entertainment within the hotel.
