Score from 325 reviews Very good
We had a room on the 4th floor with sea view. Room spacious and very comfortable.
We found the public lounges and dining room rather dark. Also the food was expensive for the portions provided.
The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and only to willing to help.
The female member of staff who booked us in on our arrival and who checked us out was unwelcoming. On checking out we were never asked if we enjoyed stay.
bed was too hot. no need for duvet on mattress.
Most things, particularly the location, staff, swimming pool and food.
It could not be helped, but the car park is inadequate for the number of guests. We were aware of this when we booked, and we were fortunate to have a space for two nights. As my husband is becoming more immobile it could be more of a problem if we stay again. I daresay a porter could help us if we asked? Nice to have a hotel which still has porters!
Breakfast - Sausage and Bacon very bland
The location was great the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful
Did not like being in the top floor as the weather was quite windy
Staff at all levels were first class without exception personal attention to guests needs was excellent. Head receptionist Sara and her team could not do enough for us. Will recommend hotel
Car park a little small for size of hotel.
the location, helpful and polite staff, excellent food and the breakfast was amazing, so much choice. the room was clean, and nice to have a bathroom with a bath and a shower.
the bed wasn't very comfortable
Everything taken care of..what more could you ask...
Nothing to dislike really
Very clean goodfacilities
bedroom needs better ventilation
Water Temp and cleanliness good.
General set up and lack of any effective lighting, décor, plants, mosaics that are normally part of Hotel pools.
Room was boiling hot and had dirty carpet, the hotel smelt funny too.. Dinner was overpriced
Lift. breakfast,location on promenade,free wifi,room well serviced
Location of room over/near very noisy extractor fan at rear if hotel. If window opened for fresh air extra noisy. All rooms at rear will here this. :£30 extra for sea view but confusion over availability. Spoiled our sleep and visit.
Upgrade from single room to a lovely double. A relaxing environment. Also also once the too thick duvet was changed for something lighter a better nights sleep.
On checking out I was charged for a meal for two and wine in the restaurant when I hadn't eaten in the restaurant at all in the evenings, just once on the Terrace, but was adjusted after a little probing.
Everything. After a bad experience in the previous hotel (we were touring) this was heaven. The staff are exceptional, the location and comfort brilliant and the restaurant lovely. Someone was hovering to take our bags to our rooms, which was spacious and calming. Whatever you're doing, continue to do it! We will be back.
Nothing! I honestly couldn't fault anything about the Excelsior.
Lift to all floors. Nice room. Comfy bed lovely bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
No lounge to sit in. Parking a real problem. Lighting poor in the restaurant.
The location was excellent, and no problems with parking on the road. We loved the area and thought the upkeep of the whole town was very good, quite refreshing not to see the usual fast food outlets, but instead some nice quirky shops and lovely tea rooms and cafes. We stayed in room 522, nice comfy room, plenty of space.
We were a little disappointed that a hotel of that size lacked comfortable lounge areas, the area in front of the reception appeared to be the only place, with just two sofas and a couple of small tables with chairs, the other area designated as a lounge was the area in front of the bar, this did not have comfy chairs and on two of the evenings we were there most of the tables had reserved on them.
This was our second time at the imperial and it was even better than last time we are considering booking for New Years eve
Room to warm during the night And bar prices very high
I love the independent shops and how easy it is to walk around Llandudno yet there is plenty to see and do. Went out on a sea trip round the Orme. Great fun
Not too easy to park until the day trippers go home
Shower was freezing bed was a bit lumpy
Lovely location next to the promenade, Sea views from the bars and restaurants. Close to shops and the pier. Good food. Inexpensive parking close by.
Well located, comfortable efficient hotel. Staff very professional, nothing too much trouble and very pleasant. Promotes relaxation and fine dining.
Hotel room very warm, limited parking.
The room was perfect extra large comfortable bed. Staff really helpful breakfast fantastic
Price of the beer
Single room was a good size as was the bed . Very friendly and efficient Reception staff.
everything, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and even though we were in a standard room it felt like luxury accommodation
