Friendly staff, the single room had everything for a 2+3 family together night away, the location near the hills and the pub up the road.
The welcome was not great. Having cycled for about 8 hours we were please to make it to the youth hostel. We went to get the code for the bike shed to be told we'd had to wait 15 minutes until 5 pm. Really!
The window in the room wouldn't close making it a bit chilly. The YHA in Keswick had a pool table and table tennis. Perhaps Ingleton could invest in these?
Staff - thanks for all the advice, service and help.
Location Facilities Cleanliness Helpful, friendly staff Breakfast
Location and watching sunset from their garden
A bit basic
close to the start of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, and close to the shop
At 19:00 the radiator in our family room was on full and the room was baking hot. The turn off valve was broken. In response to being asked to turn off the rad the member of staff said "I know it's broken, we're going to have rad stats fitted, we'll turn the heating off around 21:30". Great ... I was paying £120 (excl. breakfast) to sleep in a furnace! The guy wasn't rude, just extremely unhelpful. Not what I'd come to expect from the YHA.
Well sited hostel in Ingleton allowing access to town and facilities. Good sized comfortable rooms and overall accommodation. Pleasant outside seating area to relax. Pool! nearby for the summer. Good value for money
Breakfast was only luke warm needed to be hotter
Friendly staff, wonderful location, open air swimming pool next door
Beds were a little short - but we are a very tall family!
The wardens were still around to book me in when I turned up late. Given tea bags and milk so that I could make myself a much needed cup of tea! Good breakfast.
Press button shower - spurts of water were too short. Made showering experience uncomfortable and impractical. Impossible to wash hair easily as had to keep pressing button.
Location, facilities, easy to get too.
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and loads of options were available. My daughter loved the adventure of staying in a hostel and sleeping in a bunk bed!
We felt very welcome from the first minute. We did the three peak challenge and needed a good place to relax afterwards and the hostel was spot on.
For £5 Breakfast is plentiful. Rooms clean. Showers great. Toilets clean.
Need more car ark space
Hard bed Poor WiFi and no 3G signal Kitchen small Breakfast a bit expensive Overall more expensive and less comfortable than usual B&B
Value for money for four friends sharing. Size of room. Self catering kitchen and the fact we were not paying for a breakfast.
Slight odor in the kitchen.
It was central with comfortable, clean facilities.
Cooked beakfast could be better.
Great Breakfast - Excellent kitchen staff. Clean showers and easy availability. Comfy bunks and clean linen. Good all round Hostel. Will stay again. Car park full but no problems parking. Great choice of eating places - cafe + pubs local + excellent chip shop. Lovely time had by all.
