The setting is fantastic and although we did not use all the facilities, those we managed to do, were superb. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were very happy to find that the food was excellent, the prices were very reasonable and the service was great. One thing for sure, you could never be late, with that clock in the bathroom! The only spoiler for us, was when we checked out. We were asked to pay for our dinner, from the previous evening, even though we had paid by credit card the night before. After checking this was corect, they said we would just have to pay for breakfast then, even though we had not had any breakfast. Maybe a little more communication between departments would not go amiss.

Although I had stayed at the location before, and had the postcode, it took me almost 30 minutes to find the place. The phone number on the receipt I printed out when I booked my ticket was no manned. (I dialled twice and got no reply). I missed the banner on the fence as I drove past in the dark because my ‘sat nav’ was telling me the address was several hundred yards further down on the right hand side. A more prominent sign particularly for those arriving after dark would very helpful. Once inside the campus, it is very well signposted, and I found the reception, a place to park and my room with no difficulty.

Nice coffee with breakfast Very tired room, unsecured lock on the door, holes in bedding, bathroom had a terrible smell, the room was very noisy, uncomfortable bed, restaurant tried to charge me £50 for food & drinks I did not have (I never ate in the restaurant) I would not stay here again or reccommend this venue to anybody.

Lovely hotel with great facilities on the grounds. We didn't get a chance to check out all the facilities or food but we did use the pool which was well maintained. There was a jacucci and sauna next to the pool and a gym which over looked the pool and looked well equipped. The room was very snug and the bathroom was modern and clean. The room was equipped with a kettle, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, a safe and free wifi.

After reading one or two reviews after booking we were a little concerned but when we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. All the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful; our room and bathroom were beautifully clean and warm and inviting. The bed linen and towels were nice and white. We took a torch but didn't need it as the lighting was perfectly adequate for where our room was located (although we did hear an owl as we came out of the Main House after having a drink and more than adequate lovely and fresh sandwiches - which I might have found 'spooky' if I had been on my own!) The breakfast was excellent. The grounds are lovely and we would have walked around more if we had the time. Yes, you might need an umbrella if it rained but we would certainly like to stay there again. We enjoyed the whole experience.

Handy location, in between Portsmouth and Southampton. Modern room decor. No idea if their food is any good as my son was ill the whole time so we couldnt take him in the restaurant. Also, for the same reason, couldnt use any of the lesure facilities so can't comment on those either unfortunately. However, seemed to be a lovely hotel and we would go back if we ever needed a hotel in that area to see what it is really like.

I work away all year round & spend alot of time in hampshire. I find this hotel has been exellent value for money & a very good location which I need.. Very clean room & bathroom , I m fussy so I d say if it wasn T.. very friendly helpful staff. Free internet is exellent as I usually pay alot extra for this & its quick... I like a warm room & this is probably the best I ve stayed in.. This is my 3rd week here now & room is all round very good. Allround better than expected but I ve one thing I don t like, I ve a very expensive car & parking is a bit of a nitemare , I don t like parking along way from my room & later in the day its nearly impossile to park anywhere!!!

Very good value for money. Lovely rooms, good location and the indoor pool was great. The rooms weren't very clean. Hairs on the bed sheets and stains on the quilt. Floors were also dirty. House keeping also arrived whilst we were still sleeping.

Attractive, well-designed and spacious room . V. comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Location also attractive For us the heating was impossible to turn down despite turning off the radiator. This interferred with our sleep. Also there was a either a fan or swimming pool generator noise which went on all night. This was a pity because otherwise we would have enjoyed an excellent stay. These are fixable, I am sure.

Comfortable room Great facilities Excellent food, both for breakfast and bar meals Handy location for Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester, and many other interesting places. The walls in the bedroom were paper-thin: I could hear everything in other bedrooms and in the corridor.
