The proximity of the a38 and the railway was not a problem, as we enjoyed a good nights sleep. Excellent breakfast and evening meal.

Friendly and efficient staff. Room was spacious and comfortable with a very good bathroom and shower over. Cuisine and service was good. We felt that the surrounds of this hotel, particularly the large patio area outside the bars needed considerably cleaning and tidying up. Needs a lot more effort and attention to detail !

My wife and I, late 60's, stayed for family birthday party nearby. Good value pub food, hot and promptly served. Good full English, hot fresh croissants, fresh fruit, baked smoked haddock with 2 perfectly poached eggs; all very good. Room modern styled, compact, clean, comfortable with plenty of towels, good bath/shower clean and easy to operate. Good tv and plenty tea coffee kit and shampoo etc. Bed was comfortable. A very satisfactory place. We would stay again. Don't be put off by exterior. Little interaction from staff. All were polite but not cheery or inclined to converse. That was fine but a bit unusual in today's hospitality industry.

The Inn provided an excellent place to stay while visiting the Wellington area. The food was excellent as were the staff - like a good quality hotel. The ability to buy good evening meals was a bonus to a B&B stay.

The staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome, the food was excellent and the location good. The beds were so uncomfortable I did not sleep the first night and did not sleep alot of the second night as the bed was horrendous I have never slept in such an uncomfortable bed, they need to invest in some new ones

Fair value for money. Staff friendly. Large comfortable bed. Breakfast good. Hotel decor getting tired, marked walls throughout. In bedroom: shelve broken, one wall light not working and a large stain in the middle of the carpet very off putting; these three points took the edge of our stay. One night stop off, enough.

we had a very good reception and felt very comfotable in the way we were treated. we booked a table in the evening and the choice of food and the way it was presented was really good value. Breakfast had a good choice so our overall stay was excellant and would return and recommend this hotel to family and friends. Well done

Breakfast was good Bed was very uncomfortable, hard and were two single beds pushed together - we expected a nicer room as we had the executive double room. Carpets stained, no wifi details easily available, bath chipped, and limited menu after carvers on Sunday. Room was cold as it's a bigger room and a very small radiator. Cheaper to book online then walking in. Travel lodge accommodation would have been nicer.

The rooms were well appointed and clean and the menu was comprehensive and reasonably priced. Breakfast was plenty and quick to arrive. We had room 1 which was at the top of the stairs just next to the fire door. Unfortunately other residents failed to regulate the volume of their voices, which woke me up several times after I had gone to sleep, which was after midnight. The beds were not of a good quality, or maybe just the matresses. I could feel all the springs in the matress. A foam matress topper would have made the world of difference to comfort, Good tea and coffee selection in rooms, but a bottle of water would have been a nice touch. I am not keen to drink water from a bathroom tap as it may be stored in a tank and not piped directly from the mains.

Easy to locate, plenty of parking, especially for disabled. I found the hotel to have a limited breakfast choice, and not well presented. I felt rushed and not very relaxed. The choice of evening lunch menue was extensive and well cooked and good value. The bed mattresses need replacing, and are incredibly uncomfortable. On reporting, a room change was arranged, but it seems all mattresses are 'tired' and need replacing. Good heating, and double glazing, needed since the close proximity of a high speed rail line. The stairs to upstairs rooms are steep, and awkward when carring cases and other luggage, no lift.

It was warm and friendy . The room was small but perfectly adequate. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. We stayed on our way back to the airport so we could not linger too long over this lovely brekkie. We would stay there again. A bit of early morning road noise but nothing to get upset about.
