“ Hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful. We had lovely room with fantastic and very comfortable bed. Food was so good that we are definitely are coming back there again. The location in Forest of Dean is another plus. Superb! ”

Set in the midst of beautiful natural countryside, The Inn on the Wye is just a few minutes’ drive from the scenic village of Symonds Yat. Historic Tintern Abbey is a 30-minute drive. The location and setting were wonderful, and the staff very accommodating. Food was delicious and I would really recommend the steaks. Poor wifi service, being a business traveller I would have preferred to be able to get wifi in the room so as to be able to do some work.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff very helpful, would definitely stay again. The food was excellent, my only complaint- there was not a menu on the table at breakfast.

Have stayed before back in 2010 but this time took our dog. We love it for its location & value for money. The atmosphere is quiet & relaxing. Food is good too Window cleaner started to clean windows at 10.30 while we were still in the room (check out is 11am). Decor has not been updated since our last visit so rooms are looking tired.

Nice location, close to a few places of interest, which we visited. Tasty meals with a vegetarian option. It's a clean and quiet place, good to relax. The wi-fi signal was not always stable even in the lounge but it was not of big importance.

Me and my husband stayed in chalet 12,and were pleasantly surprised.The chalet was clean and very cosy,and would not hesitate to return.The food was excellent,and happy,helpfull staff. Definately will recommend to friends. Well done all at the inn on the wye. Dawn Gunthorpe. Liked everything.

Nice, friendly family atmosphere. Lovely warm room with comfy bed. Hot shower with high flow of water not like in some hotels just a trickle.

The Setting,stayed in one of the chalets Breakfast staff very friendly No hot water in morning Chalet 15 Someone had been smoking in the chalets, used a plug in deodoriser to hide the smell

Views, food Corridor to the rooms had a fire door which was locked at night. Although there was a door which opened into the car park it must be a health hazard that if there is a power cut it would be impossible to see how to get out at night. This is extremely dangerous.

The basic B&B price.. excellent for a double room and breakfast. There should be more comfey seats near the bar to relax on. The shower was not very hot.

A pleasant enough establishment & the surounding area was delightful and being situated on the Wye river /Valley & Forst of Dean it doesn't get much better than this in the UK! It was plesantly subdued during our visit although I guess it comes into its own for Weddings etc Showing signs of a need for refurb and clearly some majot stuff underway. Assuming this plan continues & a fresh coat of paint to brighten it up will be somwhere for us to look forward to returning to with pleasure.

The location Staff were very friendly and helpful Good sized bedroom Tea and coffee making facilities in room. lack of variety in evening menu. Dated furniture in room. Worn décor. No breakfast menu. Breakfast was very poor and lacking in variety.

Food was very good, beds were comfortable. The room we stayed in had no bath unfortunately. It hadn't been made for two people - there was one glass, 2 mugs, 1 teaspoon and only 1 sachet of hot chocolate. There was only one person working in the bar so service of food and drink was very slow. There wasn't a great selection of puddings available
