Just 10 minutes' drive from junction 6 of the M3 and a mile from Basingstoke train station, this modern hotel offers great value, with comfortable, spacious en suite rooms and free parking.

Very isolated not easy to get to
Room was stone cold and toilet seat broke and hardly any of the lights werent Working and a guy came in and did the heating and it was too hot I had asthma attack and couldn't breathe it was like a saua
Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family so location okay for us. Staff very accommodating, pleasant and friendly. Room was spacious, clean, shower powerful, usual facilities available. Room warm and comfortable. The room is a little dated, bed did not fit fully within fitted side draws due to size but this did not impact on our stay. Complimentary breakfast provided lots of choice. We would stay again.
Carvery was okay but we were disappointed with other options we chose off the menu in the restaurant.
A very reasonable carvery and a good vegetarian selection in the restaurant.
noise disturb sleep at night.
Staff seemed as though they couldn't be bothered and rude - unhelpful. If a question was asked politely they just stared at us for a while and looked bored. Although a wall sign said breakfast to 11.30 on wall, at 10.25 they said it was too late to buy or have breakfast. Venue and area great.
Good Wifi and free, ample parking
Room smelt stuffy
The cleanliness of the room was not very good. Stains on the shower curtain, coffee cups and shower hose suggested a rather lax cleaning procedure. The smell of the room was not very inviting and I even found patches of mould on the bathroom walls. I planned to stay for a week but checked out after one night because of the state of the room. Also, the rooms are not sound proofed so you hear every movement and cough in the neighbouring rooms.
Plenty of free parking space, large room and comfy bed, large bathroom with a large bath and plenty of hot water. Close to Basingstoke so good situation.
Food was good, except the beef, which was always tough, but the menu became boring as it was always the same. Some variety on the menu would have been nice, especially some fresh salads.
bedroom was warm and clean. breakfast was fine.
bathroom was freezing. bed uncomfortable. no wifi facility.
Rooms quite clean and comfortable and quiet
Very cold when we first got in Staff not very welcoming Dingy decor Pub food was most unsavoury
good value for money close to family
the dinner menu could have more variety do not want a sunday roast every evening of fried food and chips would use the lodge more if this could happen save going out to look for some where to dine in the evening
room was a disgrace no bedside table on the right hand side just a gaping gap toilet extract fan was on all night could not sleep all night very sparse room
the staff were very nice
the gentleman that i think was a manger i thought was rude as i asked if we could book in i no we were early he pointed to the notice on the desk and said he was sevicing in the bar so we went to the bar and had a drink in the bar another member of staff staff asked us if he had booked us in we said no so he very kindly booked us in as this member of staff was their when we first asked
The lodge was comfortable and quite
Food in the pub was a limited choice and of a low quality
The stay was comfortable and excellent value for money with a very good continental breakfast included. Well provided Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Nice quiet location. Friendly helpful staff.
WiFi very slow, Staff very aloof, lights in room not working, lights in corridor not working, heating very low, bedding very thin, Mattress not the best, Food very low rate and all very dirty.
Quiet location, ideal for travelling into Basingstoke. Room was fine and plenty of parking The restaurant was ok, you get what you pay for and the price included continental breakfast which was really good. I would stay here again.
Staff were fine but some would benefit from better English, not racist just practical.
Hold cold it was
Location and the room was nice
The rude staff in the morning when going down for breakfast. We had to hunt a member of staff down. Then when we asked for 2 breakfasts she didn't even acknowledge us and walked away. So we assumed to follow her still with her not acknowledging us not even a smile took our money again without acknowledging us. We had never been to one of these before so didn't really no what to do or where to go. After figuring it our for our selves we got our breakfast (which was stone cold) . It's a shame as the room was nice but this has put us off using you again regards sadie Reed
It was close to where I wanted to go and was better than many of this type of hotel. Best of all, I have nothing to complain about.
Comfort of room
No wifi accessible in my room
Location was good. Nice looking country inn.
Interior of bar very worn. If is was old and comfortable, great. But it was really scruffy and in desperate need of refurbishment. Shame staff were all so young and had no natural interaction with guests. No welcome greeting. No chit chat. No smiles. Perhaps if they had surroundings to be proud of it would make a difference?. Come on Crown Carveries/Inkeepers give the place a real boost. My family live in Basingstoke and all said how brilliant The Beech Arms USE to be!!
The manageress help in getting me sorted with a 7.5 tonne truck despite there being a sink hole in the car park. The selection of beer in the bar. The pleasantness of the staff.
The bar shutting at 11 PM The beer I like ran out and there was no other to go back on. Not your fault, poor mobile reception on most networks,
