The unexpected inclusion of breakfast in the price. The quality of service when our door would not lock.
Location is pretty good if you are visiting Beckingham. Taxi rank just outside and the Golf club is about a 20 minutes walk through the school grounds. We only had Continental breakfast at the Lodge, but it was adequate and plenty off it.
I suppose the facilities are starting to look a bit "tired" now, although the rooms were a good size and nicely decorated. Noise in the late evening from guests leaving the restaurant was a minor irritation. The Reception is combined with the bar downstairs!
We were a huge group of about 20 from all different places and different ages. The staff welcomed us and coped with every query and request with a smile. Thank you so much. The carvery was great for informal eating, rooms were very adequate although a little worn in places. Overall a great success and we will return.
A little wider menu would help if you stay more than one day.
staff very friendly , bedding and towels very clean. food excellent
Above a decent restaurant pub. Walking distance from our destination. Fair-sized room. Ample parking.
Broken toilet seat, rubbish bin not emptied, (the local supermarket was closed for remodelling- not the Inn's fault). Staff seemed to have to to take care of restaurant customers before Inn customers.
Room was very clean. nice place to stay
Staff were a little hurried
Food good. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable. would defiantly return there.
My only complaint was that in Room 9 a blue night light burned all night and could not be turned off. I complained to the African bartender but nothing was done. it burned on 2nd night as well. It disturbed my sleep.
The family room was spacious and the whole experience was great as a base for Beckenham. The staff were friendly, the continental and English breakfast were both great, the room was noisy with the window open from the outside noise, but a necessity as it was so hot ! Altogether a great stay and we will probably be staying again when visiting family.
The main bed in the family room is horrible, it's very soft and you find yourself trying to sleep on the edge of the bed as it dips in the middle like a triangle ! Overall, the room needs a little updating, there's a certain knack to turning on the side lamp but it is clean.
Extra pillows, ground floor room. Next to restaurant-convenient.
Breakfast should not really be called 'Continental'-no rolls, boiled eggs, ham, cheese, pastries or fresh fruit! Possibly a ploy to get one to buy the cooked breakfast? Television screen in bedroom was on the wall opposite one bed. (Twin room).
Good location for public transport - ie.buses and trains. Continental breakfast very good value and choice. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
First night was noisy due to other guests banging doors. Windows in room were very dirty. Shower was constantly dripping. Cooked breakfasts were overcooked.
The location, close to the train, Restaurant attached. Breakfast. Parking at the facility.
Nothing to report
The room's were very comfortable and the staff very friendly.
The bar closes far too early for residents.
close to rail.
all doors to reception counter closed until 7.00AM ,nobody work, have to exit vie emergency exit!.
Good value including breakfast Plenty of parking Good wifi.
The pub and the carvary
staff were very helpful and efficient. Food was good. Room comfortable.
Dirty cups and plates which had been put out for use but not checked when taken out of dishwasher. General state of breakfast table.
Nice, comfortable rooms, clean and quiet. The staff was at all times very friendly and helpful. Nice pub with a good atmosphere. We had a really nice stay at Innkeeper's Lodge Beckenham.
Comfortable clean, value for money. Food was good. Staff excellent make you feel very welcome. This venue has a good buzz lively.feeling.
Rail travel to London (if staying on Sunday) and travelling to London was time consuming due to replacement bus rather than rail service. Other days travel was very quick indeed excellent service.
Comfortable beds and decent sized rooms. Continental Breakfast with enough choice.Towels changed and tidy everyday.
Should make a section of the car park for residents,as the restaurant is very good value and busy, so car park gets full. Could do with a bit of when they wash the towels.
The room was clean and comfy, plenty of drinks tea etc ,slept well, also had a excellent shower. Had a carvery at the Toby, WOW WOW so lovely, could eat it every week .
I thought wi fi was free in the rooms, but could not connect such a pity, but will NOT stop me from booking there again
close to the station..great carvery
room was hot and noisy, looking over garbage bins
Service was excellent I ask for room on first floor and a later check out in advance no problem Food was very good and service excellent
Location for me was good.
I had requested a quiet room but when I arrived I was firstly put in a room overlooking the main road. Very noisy. After pointing this out, but with a lot of, well we are very full, I'll have to look, etc I was given a rear facing room which was O.K. Probably won't use it again.
